  • Shocked that nobody mentioned that they can be purchased from other players on the auction house. I'm pretty sure the OP didn't want to know what their ultimate origin is, just how to acquire them. Buy them with AD on the auction house. There you go. They're a good investment and definitely overpowered, so I really do hope…
  • I don't think that they should remove the equipment, people worked for it, but this is twice in recent memory that some attempt to stop botting hurt the game. The other is taking enchantments out of skill nodes and slowing stronghold progression of small guilds to a crawl while hurting new players who can't upgrade their…
  • This is a bit unclear and I'd still appreciate some sort of clarification, but I'm able to read into it what I want to hear, and there are some good acknowledgements. Indeed, part of the problem is that companion gear is OP, it's really OP, the stat boosts you can get with the right combination of bonding runestones and…
  • I like black ice prospector, increased aggro when summoned, works well with bonding runestones (frequent striker), not very expensive, and is a fellow dwarf :P
  • Some good comments about alliances. And I actually think that the new alliance system is part of the perception of fewer people. Also the advent of group-finding groups like Zerg_impact, basically people are more likely to ask in alliance or a special group than on LFG now.
  • My vote: excellent. I used to like pvp before it turned into mostly extremely powerful premades, it's nice to always have some sort of role in a match again, for it to be more about skill. Also helps PVE guilds get conqueror's shards without having to suffer through an unknown amount of total smash-fests for 10 shards.…
  • Voted for dungeons and epic content. That's really number 1. Balance is better than I ever remember it now, that's nice (paladins will probably need more of a rework though and it would be really nice if more of the feat trees were useful, but it's pretty good in PVE) I never think "ah damn we have one of that class in the…
  • With swordmaster the method is fairly simple, but it requires a few things. You should have a good deal of stamina/guard regeneration because you can keep your shield up for a while but you eventually have to take it down shortly. That's where steel defense comes in, and you really want to be able to get all of your guard…
  • I suggested in another thread to kill two birds with one refining stone :P. 1. We like to have more meaningful drops and rewards from dungeons, right now it's pretty basic, some salvagable blue, a few rank 5s, some seals that you mostly don't need considering the number of dungeons people tend to do. Why not give modest…
  • Same experience. This was a great move and I give props to the Neverwinter team for doing it. Moving forward I think that we would like more fun ways to get some of the similar quality vouchers. Stronghold stuff is fine, dungeon shards are fine, this stuff lets you get together in a good way. What's not so great is making…
  • I would like to see more interesting items and drops. Remember when you might frequently get something valuable from a BOSS drop like in any good MMORPG? Now you just occasionally get some artifact. I think that we would all love it if upon improving dungeons there were more meaningful drops from bosses and the end chest.…
  • This is fantastic, my guild is smaller and we let pretty much anybody relatively active in, we try hard to build up the newer players and help them through things, teach them things, etc. It's a lot of fun but also a bit frustrating sometimes because many of the members are still getting through campaigns and can't…
  • I'm going to disagree with the bind to account thing, in favor of what I already said. Fact: It's not fun to use skill nodes. You have to fill your inventory with a bunch of stacks of stuff to open them, sometimes it breaks and then you have to do again, and you have to go out of your way to find them. To get any…
  • Just thinking about how much more exciting getting refining items from dungeons is than getting them from leadership is blowing my mind. Also, to clarify, when I say dungeon chests, I don't just mean the ones at the end, but actual chests throughout. You know, the things that people avoid because they're worthless?…
  • Came here to say that. If the drop rate really was higher then prices wouldn't still be so high, but they're barely changed from a 2x refining period after weeks. My productive suggestion, which will kill two birds with one stone: make dungeons give you a small stack of refining stones/rank 5s in the chests, from a boss…
  • Didn't they say that they were going to make it easier for players to get refining items to offset the inflation? If that's true and not just wishful imagination, why not do those two things simultaneously?
  • At the very least make the skill node change simultaneous with an increase in refining item/enchant drops that can be sold and used by real players *stares at lowly epic artifact gear with one enchant slot*
  • Might I just say that the recent OP nerf and Lostmauth set nerf have made the game significantly more fun to play? Dungeons actually feel like dungeons, you have to plan out your team, work together, communicate, and it takes time! That's exactly what a dungeon should feel like, and it's fantastic. Things should be…
  • Yeah great improvement all around. Might I say that ever since the OP nerf and the lostmauth set nerf, I've been having way more fun in dungeons? Almost as much fun as back in the day before Elemental Evil, it's fantastic, it's more like what dungeons should feel like, you have to plan out your party, work as a team, and…
  • Another good tip is that the blue salvagables from chests like Kessell and ESOT are bound to account, so while you can't sell them, you can pass them to your other characters through the shared bank slots or mail them to your account and open the mail on other characters, salvage them, and try to get your max rough AD…
  • Also, tying into that, dungeon length is a real determinant of enjoyability. I played some WoW maybe 8 years ago, it was a lot of fun, stopped playing computer games for a while, but there was one thing that made it so fantastic, and that was the all-important dungeon. I did just mention that, but dungeons in that game…
  • The complaints about the OP nerf are ridiculous. You're complaining because you're no longer godly with barely any effort or skill, that's it. Perma bubble was ridiculous. For people who relish a challenge, this is exactly what makes the game so much fun. You should have to work to complete things, you should have to have…
  • Day to day the lockbox key alone is probably worth twice the cost of level 1 VIP by the end of the month, then you do get the occasional massively valuable thing, and the trade bars are valuable. A dungeon key is worth 5k a day, that's on all of your characters mind you. The rest of it is nice and saves you some time. Well…
  • Indeed. That's a problem in itself. Have to have the fundamentals down for people to stay, it's really disheartening starting to play a game and then learning that your class is strictly worse than other classes regardless of build. At least they've worked on and continue to work on PVE balance so some classes aren't…
  • As it should be I think. I wasn't there for the beginning of Mod 2 and didn't absolutely love the area, but I can imagine how it would be new and exciting to have such an expansion in an already great game. People wanted more stuff to do, there were too few great sets. I picked IWD because it has this awesome feel to it,…
  • Expanding on the duel arena idea. An area where you can go and make matches. Want to play 1 on 1? You can without some hothead smashing you and your opponent to bits in IWD. Want to do 2 on 2? Go ahead, and pick your opponents. 5 on 5 elimination? Or in domination you can pick your opponents. Yes it does mean more people…
  • I really do dislike item level, if not gear score then they should at least try to have something like stat score to include boons and the progress with artifacts that haven't been upgraded yet. Wait, that's gear score. Bring back gear score, heh. Then yes matchmaking needs an overhaul. The only problem I see with strictly…
  • Would that be matchmaking balance or just gear should count for something in pvp but perhaps significantly less than it does currently? I could live with that, like I said I don't fault an MMORPG for making gear matter in pvp, it's part of the game, but yeeesh
  • I put up auctions, they were bid on, and they expired but I haven't got my astral diamonds. I'm a bit glad that apparently the bidder didn't get the items because they ended up selling for ridiculously low, heh. But yes I very much hope that everything is how it should be next maintenance, though either way it's very…
