  • I doubt that a PvE centric player will do it more than once. A PvP experience is not what such a player is looking for, and Open World PvP is only going to make him/her less likely to consider the content. You could up the rewards by several thousand percent, add some unique OP PvE rewards to the area and still not get PvE…
  • "Even though my goat is dead, I will help the adventurer" - that quest giver dwarf outside the gate of Helm's Hold itself. I know what he is supposed to say in that line, but I just can't hear it as anything else.
  • Neverdeath Graveyard is a level 26-30 zone. You can go back to it, but you may want to look at http://neverwinter.gamepedia.com/Category:Neverdeath_Graveyard_Quests to ensure that you didn't miss a vital quest, since you will not get the quest markers (due to your level). Also, Bag of Holes is a drop from Robe of Useless…
  • Some enemies can see through stealth. That's all.
  • If Razor Action had been a chance to execute after using an Encounter instead of every time after a Daily it might have been good. It's not even that useful if you spec Seething Knives, doing (going on memory) 500-600ish damage on hit with a DoT follow up for up to 50% of that.
  • Not only do you have to grind to get the gear, you have to grind to keep it powered up, and then you have to dump more effort into making it not fugly. I guess I'll skip Module 3 completely.
  • There are two possible results from the Fallen Dragon/Fomorian crafting tasks, with less than 100% chance you risk getting the lesser version and thus basically waste three purple crafting materials.
  • Use the Report Spam button for the gold spam mails, it will delete them and block the sender. Even better, you can't accidentially use it on an AH mail.
  • I voted Spellplague for the phases, gigantic boss and crumbling platform. It's the fight that feels most action packed and tense to me, even though it might not actually be true. You also have a boss that truly makes the adds feel tiny and unimportant by size alone. For other bosses the adds take up way too much space and…
  • Not really, while decently geared (ie. full Tier 1+) level 60s do make up a large portion of those doing CTAs, the skirmish also has to be doable by a team of sub-40s without resorting to zerging.
  • Cryptic does not review Foundry content before a Foundry author is allowed to publish it. That would cost way more money than anyone is willing to spend.
  • That's because the poll asks what can be done to make it more enjoyable to play Foundry content. Not everyone thinks tanglible rewards are the enjoyable part of gameplay, some are more interested in challenges, player interaction and storylines and thus think it would be more enjoyable if the game let them focus on those…
  • Three things have votes at this point and those are the three things I see as having the most impact. Improved Boss Mechanics. This is a major weakness of the game in general. Bosses are boring sacks of hp hidden behind a horde of adds. Fighting the Aboleth on the crumbling platform is the most interesting boss fight in…
  • "Photos don't lie."
  • I'd say you're not immersed as much as you claim to be if you refuse to believe that a genius/insane/enterprising wizard would not find a way to control a cube and make it "safe" to ride. I would expect to see a magic user do a thing like that for profit and a long line of nobles/wealthy merchants/thrill seekers queueing…
  • They might actually be useful in pvp if that happened... Also, no class builds AP as slowly as a TR, taking that into account you should probably compare a 15 seconds boost from a TR Daily to a 10 seconds boost for any other class.
  • On the other hand, it is faster, easier and cheaper to both create and troubleshoot since you know exactly how it's supposed to behave. At least if it's documented. Then again, an undocumented piece of modular software can be a nightmare to work with.
  • The jump from Lesser to Perfect is 50%, the jump from Normal to Perfect is ~28.5%. Soul is more useful for the second chance than the actual heal and the one Enchantment where I'd be fine with not upgrading it ever to save AD/time.
  • A non-Augment companion is likely to pull aggro you do not want. It can also aid certain enemies that trigger off of stupid plays (like poor positioning or not dodging) since the companion AI is about as smart as the average mob. Also, they'll often do thorough examinations of the local soil providing no further benefit…
  • Note that the Galeb only taunts one target at a time and the taunt has a cooldown. Do not get it and expect to send it in to tank (and keep aggro on) a group of enemies while you safely pick away at them from afar.
  • I think you should hop on to the test server for a bit (you can find the info on how to access and copy characters over in the main test forum), use a respec (costs 0 Zen on the test server) and play around with a WK build for a bit. You should quickly discover that Vengeance's Pursuit is, for lack of a better term, "utter…
  • CO has shared bank slots (need a Hideout to access, there are two free hideouts available via the CO Arc promotion) and they're priced at 1 slot: 25Z, 5 slots: 120Z, 10 slots: 235Z, 20 slots: 450Z. However, with the (truly insane) cost of buying personal bank space in NW, I don't expect the NW prices for shared bank slots…
  • Nice to hear that you're not a complete newbie when it comes to Cryptic game design. Hope you get to share some of the inside stories you learn. :)
  • Welcome to the madness that is managing an online community for a MMO. A minor question, but have you played any of the other Cryptic games (CoX, CO, & STO)?
  • I bolded the important part, or letter if you will. Non-mobile vs mobile graphics cards: You usually need a couple of generations before the mobile version catches up in performance. The graphics card is often a noticable source of performance in 3D games.
  • I find if far more immersion/lore shattering to see Drizzt #22479324 running around than I do seeing someone with a magically bound mount.
  • The quest you have as your active quest may not have a quest trail (individual quests may have disabled the trail for some reason) or it may have a starting point in a different zone (this will sometimes block the trail from displaying until you get to that zone). I'm not sure what the issue is if this happens with a…
  • Given the options we have, I'd prefer the ability for trolls to make some really butt ugly eyestrain inducing color combinations if that is the "price" for having more options.
  • VP is an AoE skill when used without Stealth, so it makes sense that the damage for each target hit is lower than what you'd expect from a single target skill. Still, VP is clunky to use and I'd probably slot Deft Strike before I slot VP as long as the VP cast (both parts combined) + cooldown is within 1 second of DS'…
  • And I'm replying with a 100% PvE mindset. Even the Battlefield Scavenger 4 piece set bonus (+20% Stealth duration) makes a radical difference in how well any of the perma-Stealth builds perform in PvE. Without that bonus your timing is far stricter and you will need more Recovery + Int to even make it work.
