Inspect some of the monsters you meet in pvp. You will see a massive HP pool, high power, quite low conventional damage resistance ( they depend on the tenacity DR), average crit, very high armor pen, good deflect and life steal. That is the overall formula but some of the values differ based on class.
Oh but it is profitable. I have personally known people who have spent literal hundreds if not more euros in a very short time to build up several characters into near bis status just for pvp. Purchasing enchantments, campaign completions, lvl 70 boosts tokens, refining stones, mounts, insignias, artifacts.. etc. A certain…
I should have put the "" around ignoring just for you I know that. It was figuratively speaking, high burst is capable of killing high deflect builds that is why it is sort of "ignoring" deflection. You should be able to understand now
The excitement is thanks to the awesome combat system which I have praised on many occasions. The visuals are also pretty so that helps too. As unhappy as I am with many of the things Cryptic has done and does with Neverwiter the aforementioned positives are why Im still here. Hope your balance good vs bad always tips in…
I could be wrong but the only players Ive seen who make a char and become bis in a week are in fact PVP players. That is some crazy spending right there. Do PVE players do the same?
Oh man, the big pvp guilds still writing those same old, endless improvement suggestions  Like a dog chasing its own tail. Making everyone equal in a pvp environment is nothing new. Its being done by other games very well, its out there and any developer can copy it. They dont need us telling them how, what is…
Well, from what Ive seen deflect is already pretty much bypassed by some classes. A friend of mine and I used to PVP a lot together. He, a combat HR and I with my protOP. Both toons pretty much bis. Key to the HR success was high dmg output coupled with high deflect and great self healing. During our many duels I was never…
C'mon get into your role-playing mindset. The adventurers gather round the fire. Take off some gear, equip another, makes sense  The game has a camp fire practically everywhere anyway
Аccording to a paladin in my guild HP is in fact transferred via bondings. In battle the op in question goes from 180k base to 250k HP. I haven't seen it personally but I have no reason to doubt the player. My OP on the other hand gets power and crit from the pet since I much prefer to generate massive temp health in…
Trade offs are fine as long as they actually trade off something. Btw @jaime4312 BO was already nerfed, as was Divine Protector. 2 skills which used to be staples for paladin tanking are far less used now ( I personally dont use them anymore). TW and more accurately temp health is the only real tool for surviving OPs have.…
To be fair, Paladins can reduce cooldowns and that is probably one reason they have low base damage on abilities and long animations. My OP's entire rotation can be cast twice in the start of a fight thanks to divine call. In PVE when tanking hordes of mobs that's awesome. In PVP.. well, screw pvp. Still, when my 2.6 GF…
@markeen#2032 best thing you can do is slowly move away from PVP. Its what I did and I have 4 toons in warborn/prestige with decent to bis enchants + all boons. My main char joins a match perhaps once a week if even that and only if lower IL guildies are asking for help in their pursuit of glory/seals. You are in a good…
I got a toon of each class, my gf is quite poorly geared when compared to my main char. At the modest IL of 2600 (with dragon hoards which inflate item level), only rank 8s and a normal feytouched Ive hit over 100k griphon's crits in pve and pretty much killed toons with similar gear to mine in pvp via 1 bull followed by…
There is a real bug with double marking as mentioned once in this thread and its the bug which kills Paladins via a dmg loop. This has been present since forever and needs to be fixed. As for GFs. Are they doing too much dmg? When combined with their tankines, mobility and cc capability imo yes they are doing too much dmg…
Up to play style imo. In PVP my op registers just barely above 4k but no GF can kill me, TRs cant kill me either strictly 1x1 speaking. The one class that might clear my OP solo is a HR. Of course I happen to go into PVP with at least 1 self heal slotted. That being said, Paladins are like at the bottom when it comes to…
Why would the devs have to do sth to make rogues better in pve ? Its all up to your build. Ive run dungeons on my near bis 4k pally with different rogues. Last night I did double the dps of a 4k rogue in epic spider, another time a rogue did 3 times my dps in CN. So ya, its all up to your build.
The focus from the daily is the perfect solution. The drop from digsites is just supplementary now and can be perceived as a nice, little added bonus instead of annoying random grind.
Im sorry to say this but get with the program. Relic weapons and vivified armor are items for the truly bis crowd to make them stand apart and above. Its why mod 11 weapons were nerfed. In short most people skipped the STK gear, its the sensible thing to do.
Meet a player with far inferior gear than yours near a node or schedule some pvp with friends in Icewind dale during Black Ice domination and trade kills/caps
1 focus from all dig sites last night. What are we supposed to do, spend hours in there? Pff PS: So the focus is now a daily reward - cool. Cryptic didnt have to also reduce its dig site drop rate but they did anyway so whatever. You guys, devs, have a very good game on your hands. What you need to learn is that we dont…
