The rest of your post was OK, but your real life analogy is false, for one thing I expect every transaction within the game to be logged and therefore traceable with some queries, which wasn't going to happen with the analogy used.

Are you reading from the old closed beta? There is no character wipes from Open Beta on out, unless something makes it unavoidable.

I do kind of wish they would give a stipend of 400 Zen per month for Founders as they do for STO lifetime members, or for subscribed Gold Members, but not really rergetting anything as I like to play alts and I think it will work out in the long term for my style of play.

The costs is the main reason I don't use the sockets while levelling as its just too expensive as items have a short life before being replaced.

This :). I'd bet they can trace anything in game via some simple database queries, and I think its best to let Cryptic do their job as they can analyse the data far better than anyone else here.

They have been very communicative on Facebook and Twitter, but not your alleged issue. Notice, I said alleged as a player you don't have access to the metrics which they as a company will have access to. Pre-ordering or pre-purchasing is risky, even Totalbiscuit advises in general against it, however I like STO, especially with the improvements (and LoR) so took the chance with Neverwinter and have not regretted it in the slightest. YMMV as always...

Its a little strange considering the huge amount of customization you can do to bridge officers over on STO (Star Trek Online). I hope they bring that here at least to the humanoid companions to start with.

I don't believe I've seen too many of these posts yet, and considering open beta is nearly two weeks old its actually pretty good as I have seen complaints about boring 'end game' on other MMO's 48 hours after launch lol.

Following a similar progression, but somewhat behind due to 'altinitis'. Hopefully they will address these issues by the time my CW hits 60, or else I'll probably try making something in the foundry (which seems it also needs fixing at 60), we shall see.

GW2 made money upfront from box sales and I'd wager money from the packs hasn't made up for development costs yet.

Yeah, respec is something which should probably be at least 50% off and ideally have 2 or 3 uses per purchase. I know for a fact I will respec on my CW once she hits 60. Respec should open up other paragon paths? Maybe they give a free respec when they release more paragon paths?

If STO is anything to go by they will certainly be adding more cosmetic options soon, I am actually hoping for more when the game emerges from the open beta label, but I was a bit surprised by the lack of it now.

I work in IT too since about '95 from small to large (Apple) t know you're generally wrong, what you suggest may work in small business, not large (people without the training or skills will create far more work) and others have said they maybe hammered with tickets, but I do hope they get through them fast for you :).

Do you call the sales department to get technical support? However, 9 days is rather long on a ticket, is it something the community can possibly help with?
