That sounds like some broken pathing in your installation, to me. If you haven't opened a ticket with ARC support, I would. I use all three, as my work requires it. I use Windows to play NW. I have only ever used C.S. for the forum once, when it first changed to the new Arc system.

I play them all pretty equally, but probably like the GWF or TR the best, just for the quick animations. I get bored pretty quickly, playing any class, and switch often.

Nor to me. But I never had a key during an active event I played. I saw at least a few people post about it happening to them, though, when the keys were first introduced. Since that gels with certain similar things I have seen happen, I prefer to err on the side of caution.

There is only one chest at the end. It is locked unless you have a key or you were in the dungeon while the event was active. You are 'barking up the wrong tree.' These are container files that cryptic uses for just about everything, and they are not particular to NW. The game engine parses them. It is working fine for me, although I often enough see the issues you describe. Do the tests, if they are fine, they are fine... it tells where to look. Without posting the results of the tests, you are wasting your time because no one can help.

Pretty sure the problem is that the system shows Drizzt Do'Urden as having completed the quest quite some time ago. Just kidding. I think it likely comes down to what Sobac or Charononus said. Both sound right to me.
