hmmm. disappointing but understandable. Follow up question- any work of getting the respec bug fixed? Its hard to test the encounters if I am limited to just at wills and one encounter power.
Did you know about it? Did you report it? I keep hearing all these claims that this was common knowledge, but I have yet to hear from anyone who actually did anything about it. I had not heard a thing about it before today, and according to the devs less than 1% of the exploit transactions occurred before today.
Please dial down the idiocy. If you had actually read the post you would know that more than 99% of the exploit occurrences were in those 7 hours, and the ones before that are being dealt with on and individual account basis. As far as "not actually punishing" those using the exploit, did you miss the part about permanent…
I don't have a level 60, but I have been playing quite alot and in my humble opinion you don't have to spend a penny on this game. In game rewards will give you a perfectly playable character. If you are the kind of guy who needs to squeeze .every last .02% of stats out of a piece of gear, and you don't have the patience…
Skirmishes supposedly reward money. I have only done the low level ones, and the reward was not exactly overwhelming. I think I got a chest pull of a few silver beyond the loot from the monsters when I did the Black Lake one. If you do one during a Skirmish event hour you get some astral diamonds instead. On the other…
That is the dark side of the Foundry, the same thing happened in Star Trek Online. Personally I dont see the point of it. There is fun and well produced story content( both by developers and through the Foundry) that will help you level quickly enough, it seems like you are really missing the game if you just kill a room…
In some old school games you NEEDED certain classes. If you didn't have a tank you were doomed. If you din't have a healer you were doomed. And there was this strange assumption that if you were not absolutely needed you could not get a group. This is NOT the case with neverwinter. With good play you could run a dungeon…
At this point there are no queues. Since the patch I have been able to log in without any wait. I have even logged in and out several times to test, no wait whatsoever here.
Skirmish/dungeon queue issues may be server specific. I logged back into my character on Beholder and the queue system seems to be working there. I have had no login queues since the patch. Good job to the support team for the quick fix.
Login queue has been fixed since the patch, at least for me. I did a skirmish queue on Beholder and it took only about a minute. I have heard Dragon server is having problems.
I have not seen any official discussion of multclass feats or a hybrid mechanic. Compared to the other DnD mmo that is out there (which is based on the 3rd edition rules) Never winter is a much less literal interpretation of the tabletop rules. While DDO tried to follow them very closely, Neverwinter is using them more for…
Nothing specific has been released. It has been stated by the developers that the starting classes are basically a starter kit and more will be released over time. There was an interview I listened to somewhere that said that they have done at least some work on most of the published Dnd classes, and that they had done…
I finally got into beta, and played a wizard into the late teens. I agree, there were moments that I said "I need to teleport/move NOW but I was rooted in a spell animation. Overall, i like the class however. The initial story finding the crown was fine solo. The first couple of levels in the tower district were ugly, but…
This game will stay on the air as long as it produces a reasonable profit. When it doesn't it will close. It looks excellent so far, based on the beta weekends and I can't wait to get my hands on a full build. I don't think any company plans to put this much work into something just to dump it a year later. The $200 founds…
I don't think we are going to see longer hold/mezz abilities. It goes against the basic idea of combat in this game. This is supposed to be a action oriented and dynamic. They are just not going to let you root and nuke. "Control" effects are going to be more along the line of repel/knockdown, interrupts to bad guys…
A good wizard is going to go with a different spell load out based on going solo or being in a group. Repel/knock down powers are bread and butter spells for solo play. In a group you should focus more on debuffs, interrupts, and direct damage. With a good tank to work behind you can change what you have selected. There…
One of the recent interview on the game (forgot which one or I would link) said that they are already working on multiple additional classes, and a ranger is one that has already had quite a bit of work, so I would not be surprised if it was the first class to be added.
