Seems like they might have reset something. I'm back to patching at 5mb/s.

For anyone else going through the Perfect World support site, I've tried both proxies with no improvement. I've done a dns flush, and I've forwarded the ports they recommended. Nothing has helped. I'm going to leave it running for a few hours and play some Metro Last Light. Good luck to the rest of you.

Sigh, my launcher just crashed at 17% and nearly 45 minutes of patching.

Before yesterday I would have agreed with you, but something has changed. I'm currently at 278MB over the last half hour, with another 1.5GB to go.

Sorry, I'm not going to bait the troll. To everyone else, ignore him. This is clearly a problem with the perfect world servers. We can either wait for an official response or hope someone has a work around.

Seriously? Move closer? That is your suggestion? You know that latency and throughput are entirely different problems right?

Disabling on demand patching just shifts the problem from 5-6 files not downloading at a reasonable speed to 2gbs worth of files not downloading at a reasonable speed. I'm on the west coast of the US with a 75mb/s connection, and its taken me 15 minutes to download 126 MB. When the beta started, we were getting great…
