They are running multiple servers now... certainly they have the tech, hardware, operations and experience to run multiple servers. BREAKING THEIR PROMISE not to wipe... that's complicated, for sure. I think you are wrong about the economy magically fixing itself. The 'sploiters will SELL the AD to gold sellers, who will sell it to players. The economy of the Beta-Combine server will continue to have 10s of billions more AD than it should... forever.

Actually I think a new server IS the fix for the current mess, but not in the way the OP means. - collapse all current servers together at launch as planned. - add a new server that's not connected to the same zen server, so there's no way to transfer the duped AD/Zen from the bad ol' beta-combined server. You might have missed the point. EVERYONE, including (especially?) the exploiters gets transferred to one server. Non optional! As you say, all servers collapsed into one. The difference from the plan of record is that at least one other clean server would remain after that, and it wouldn't share the same Zen game identity…

The awesome thing about this suggestion is that it's NOT a wipe. -- voluntary reset, totally at the option of the user.

I support wiping all characters, with these caveats: - Foundry submissions would not be wiped. - Folks who bought Hero of the North should get a token to autolevel a character some exp levels and crafting levels -- proportionate to the # of headstart days they got. - Starting AD and Zen purchased via cash shop refunded.
