• It's not that clerics are too bad to use direct heals, it's that they don't have any. The only heal that could conceivably make a difference is forgemaster's, which has to be put on an enemy mob and pulses from there. Healing word is not going to save anyone. There is no heal in this game that does what you seem to expect…

• You can absolutely get everything without spending money. In that sense, Neverwinter is not "P2W" but pay for convenience. That said, prices are quite high in the zen store and things like a respec or more character slots could take you a week or two of ingame "work". Depends on how efficient you are at diamond gathering.…
