I use defense, power, lifesteal and regen (with crit strike armor pen or anything else that i find that going to tip the scales, but mostly those 4) and the first time I died was lair of the mad dragon with a bad pick up group. The class is doable, just takes a little know how.
GWF gets better at 30+ but is still good if you, and here's the important part, AREN"T AN IDIOT. You have a sprint, AVOID DAMAGE. You have AOE CC (roar for instance) that builds DET. USE IT RIGHT. You have a self heal attack, use it right. You have plenty of interrupts use them. Av of Steel gets you off screen and deals…
I didn't check it out, just noticed it was there. Ioun stones are personal buffs, they get 3 stones and 3 items all of which can be enchanted. Though I prefer the lifesteal acolyte cause I like lifesteal, not everyone feels the same way. They were listing the buff pets (cat and stones) so I threw another out there.
Sounds like you need a good GF and a good GWF working together. GF pulls some mobs and boss while GWF gets everything in a group (using his CC powers like roar, and cooperating with the CW) and beats them down together. All the while TR stays on boss DPSing it down.
I've done it. Roar takedown and restoring strike. Roar to get them off you but mostly to BUILD DETERMINATION. That is how you win as a GWF. Any feats or powers that build DET are your friends. Also the feat the gives you a percentage of defense as power, use a bunch of high def items and grab the def feats. Get a better…
You guys are nuts. Its not OP like BW1 TR but the GWF has plenty of punch, especially if you build your determination enough. Ignoring CC is nothing to sneeze at.
I'm 22 so far, and played to 15 in BW3 and I don't feel weak. I put some effort into getting better gear and enchants, and I do well. The change to sure strike was annoying, and restoring strike needs to heal more, but after I got a companion I never had a problem with health anymore. Dungeons are not even a problem. I…
If it makes you feel any better it doesn't seem like there are a whole lot of weapon skins for any of the classes. I imagine that will be a launch addition.
This right here. Personally I think the classes need to be a little retooled, so you have wizard, cleric etc, and you insert your own flavor by picking your own feats, spells etc from a larger pool. That would be what I would prefer. However, I would be perfectly satisfied with simply 3 types or so for each class. Control…
I played the rogue in the last beta and the wizard in this one. I wasn't really feeling it. The CC effects didn't seem to last long enough to give me any meaningful room to work with. Also, looking down the tree I gotta say I'm a bit disappointed in there only being fire and force. No disintegrate, no mage armor, no etc.…
Swordmage. Please for the love of God, Swordmage. And ditch the subclass loot. You could make armors that apply to all levels and give a different bonus per class even.
