But this has all the hallmarks of an official release. Pre-order bonuses applied, money exchanging hands, no character wipes, communities bedding down in their respective servers for the long-run. How can this be anything but official release? As I stated, beta by name not by actual existence.

B2P is now HAMSTER because it gets filled with cash shop stuff anyway so you pay again. Or the B2P becomes F2P and you get stuck thinking "What did I spend thirty quid on all those years ago?" I bought STO, then it went F2P and I had nothing at all to show for the fact I bought the game and subbed to it beyond a petty XP…

That'd be a waste of money if I hate the game. Still have 1000ZEN sitting in my STO account and the game was scoured from my hard disk.

Wait, I think I get what you mean now. I take it no real money purchase of Zen is involved and instead pool all your grinded AD into Zen to buy all unlocks at once?

Frankly, if I get overflowed with lockboxes I will just put them on the AH for a tiny number of crystals and contribute to the entire lockbox economy tanking.

I can't make new threads but I have a forum bug to report. If you insert the pound symbol in a post (the currency, not the waffle-shaped thing on telephone keypads) anything after the symbol in the post is cut off. Watch, there is a sentence below this one but I am putting the symbol after this full stop.

I'd be playing Defiance if it wasn't for the HAMSTER poor interface. Surgeon Simulator is a nice distraction though (that has a good excuse for a rubbish interface :D).
