• I completely agree with you. It is a choice-based issue. Thank you for making that important distinction. However, that's still not stopping Cryptic/PWE from charging those people who "greatly desire" Moon Elves the cash. ;) I guess where most of my gripe is with the price they've placed on that new race (combined with the…
• Where it matters is at the end of the day, other than racial abilities, there doesn't seem to be any uniqueness to the new race. Sure they look similar based on the lore, but considering Cryptic/PWE is asking a fair amount of cash up front, why not offer some additional incentives that will make your Moon elf stand out…
• That pretty much just confirms for me what I pretty much already knew. So Cryptic is just taking an existing character model, changing the colour palette (assuming more darker hair options), and charging us for a "new" race. Frankly, not enough to warrant me forking over the cash I'm afraid.
• I've been wondering this ever since the announcement: Is there any physical differences in the player character models in-game? Or did Cryptic just copy the sun elf character files, add more darker hair options, then call it a "brand new race"???
• I've got that too. Man, the Bug monsters appear to be winning these days....
• Couldn't agree more. Although I think some of the prices are OK, it's obvious that Perfect World or Cryptic skyrocketed the prices to things they know the players will want. $40 for a mount is just outrageous. $10 for an inventory bag is also ludicrous. Even just comparing their prices to their other cash grab, Star Trek…
• ::::::::: PART THREE ::::::::::: Rackham sat in the interrogation room wondering to himself how odd of a day he was having. First off he had botched his attempt at breaking into a store vault by misjudging the type of lock mechanism, setting off a rather surprising alarm and acid trap. Next he found himself captured by…
• *Rackham scratches his head as the debate over the thread's fate ensures....* "Napkin?" He mutters to himself. "Napkin? Hmm...wonder if he means serviette?"
• *Rackham startles at the sound of the female voice in the corner, not sure if he was more shocked that she had snuck in past the halfling's keen eyes and eyes. More so past someone with the training of the shadowy arts that he had. The halfling for a moment attempted to pierce through the darkness with his gaze to where…
• *Rackham taps his feet impatiently and looks up at the two would be thread bandits.* "Ahem" the halfling coughs to interrupt their crafting discussion, "THAT thread is the property of the adventurers of the Wild Hunt, only those bearing the silver stag pin may be in possession of...of..." *the halfling stops himselfs as he…
• *Rackham covers his face with his arms as the dwarf tries to give him a good knock on the head.* "Get off it, dwarf!" the halfling shouted, "I was just trying to catch a big ol' rat that's been taking my thread!" *The halfling chuckled with embarrassment when he saw the dwarf hold out the thread.* "Ah, so YOU'RE the rat!"…
• Totally agree. There's already an atmosphere in the dungeons Cryptic have created. Makes total sense to run some as an IC group and take our time through them.
• *Crouched in the closet, Rackham listens intently for any sound of the "rat". After some moments, he hears something enter the room, then a soft thud and some grumbling noise.* "Must be a huge rat!" Rackham thinks to himself. Rackham shoves out of the cabinet in a tight ball, rolling across the floor in an effort to stop…
• I don't think a varied schedule would be a problem Jezyrae as most of us have our own real lives and responsibilities to juggle. When we say late-night, we're mainly referring to when you can expect guild meetings or events to occur. If you think you think a guild event being offered around 8 or 9 pm PST isn't too late,…
• *Rackham walks into the room with an iron needle in one hand. On his tunic is a jagged tear, possibly from the evening filled with adventure, stealthy battle, and a few coin purses purloined. He looks to the now vacant shelf, a small dust-free spot is the only evidence left behind of the now missing thread.* "Kelian!"…
• *walks by and notices the thread sitting on the floor* "Hrm, who left this here?" *picks the thread up and places it back on the shelf.* "There, much better!"
• Thank you kindly Sapphire! And yes, this particular beach just north from where I live rolls out about a kilometre at low tide. Makes for some amazing morning walks!
• Here's another old HAMSTER on the West Coast. Love the beach. Here's to those that remember the red box set with the Larry Elmore cover!!
• A half-elf, a dwarf, and a halfling walk into a bar....... I dare someone to finish it! ;) Would be cool to get some hoo-mans, tieflings, or drow in the guild. Heck even a smelly elf would be great!
• Remember all you late-night RP folks, if you had fun this Beta weekend playing in Neverwinter, you may want to consider checking out the Wild Hunt! BTW Silverblade, I like how you've got difficulty checks for the guild background. Nice touch! *stealthy bump*
• You can double-tap any of the movement keys to dodge as well. Depends on what you're most comfortable with.
• Count Rackham Dane in! Although he has had trouble with the local guard, he's good-natured at heart. I'm sure this halfing will prove useful in The Wild Hunt in some way or other. Let me know any way I can help.
• The Wizards site does have a name generator: http://www.wizards.com/dnd/article5.asp?x=dnd/dx20010202b,0',500,630) Which may help you get a sense of the style of names for each race. For something more specific to the Forgotten Realms setting, this name generator has a number of options for both race and gender:…
• (( Thanks Braxzana, although I can't take credit for the art. It's actually a WotC art by Ben Wooten. He's a fantastic artist with a fair amount of great D&D art! )) :::::::::: PART TWO :::::::::::: "Rackham Dane..." the patrol captain exclaimed, holding the tip of his long sword steady, "how did I know it would be your…
