Not much of a boycott to play another class. Even if nobody will play the GF anymore it's not going to change squat. GF is not a needed class unlike, for example, a healer or damage dealer.

If your idea of challenge is to run the same unchallenging event 400 times then I feel sorry for you. An event isn't challenging because you have to do it 400 times, an event is challenging if are having a sense of accomplishment of doing it the first time. To paraphrase Albert Einstein: If you judge a GF by its ability to deal damage you will always find yourself lacking. Guardian fighters in PVE are supposed to keep the aggro off the squishy classes, not so much as dps. You want to maximize your aggro first, survivability second and dps last.
