That might be true Jazz, but as long as I continue to put +30% damage debuffs on the boss, and HP based increases to each hit for the entire party, buffs from a DC may not be exactly everything you're looking for.

So it depends then on what path we took. For a Protection Paladin, not much effect for personal sake, but definitely for others in the area of effect. For a Devotion Paladin, it works a lot for both self and others. Either way, the numbers on the character sheet don't change, and there's still some effect.

I have been slotting in Heroism and Radiant strike, but only for when I want to DPS more than healing. Unfortunately, (or not) I have been running groups of varying strengths so I adjust the amount of available healing in concert with their abilities.

I can confirm that it does reduce damage taken for you and your allies and provide a protection against knockdowns. However the numbers do not change while I use it. It would appear that the reduction happens "on top of" what you normally have on your gear stats.

Unfortunately that's not true that Devo Paladins can't tank. For every damage we cause, we make 5 times the aggro due to the 5:1 ratio of our healing abilities.
