Yeah the ai for companions is dreadful as is their pathfinding. The companions in this game are just fancy pets. I feel bad for anyone who purchased the expensive ones. They don't even get any meaningful interactions with them.

Are those pay companions different from the free ones? Do they have dialog and quest where you can interact with them or are they just fancy pets like the free ones?

Terrible boss fight. Infinite adds that never stop spawning and they drop aoe along with the boss which made movement difficult.
