I was able to claim the companions on more than one character. No reason to think I won't be able to claim on all of them. So this can be put to rest. Although I wasn't able to do so on my "main" until I put the unbound companions in the shared bank. Just in case anyone else has the unbound companions hanging around and…
Define mid-day? One presumes, since you're west coast that it will be Pacific Time. Which is fine. Does it mean Noon (middle of the day), or 1PM (technical middle of the 'standard' work day), or sometime before 4PM (since after 4 would be considered end of day, or at least late in the day)? I understand why you're being…
Yeah, I have been in Neverwinter once since June. I keep an eye on this issue because I really liked Champions Online, and I haven't been there much since June either.
We've actually been far more patient than any company actually deserves on this issue. QA is very important. You cannot throw multiple fixes at customers and expect them to have any confidence in your company the next time you say "this should take care of it".
Are you not entertained? I don't see why people would post something so off topic in a thread, and expect a response. OTOH, I'd love to know even the tentative timetable for resolving the companion stuff
Fried? Steamed? Souffled? In any case, it's been three weeks now, and a week since I posted in the other thread about it having been two weeks. Given the four months between problem identification and an attempt at a fix, I was hoping the fix for the fix would be accomplished in less than a month.
I find this disturbing. Yes, I can understand that sometimes people aren't told everything, but this is an issue that he was following, which means the expectation, from a professional standpoint, is that it would be followed to the end, not treated as a 'Fire and Forget' once confirmation of inclusion with a patch…
I disagree, but I'm not a person that feels benefited by profiting from the mistakes of others. It should not be that difficult to see who claimed one during that time period and remove them from the unqualified (or remove them from all, and let the qualified reclaim). However, that would also involved a CS hullabaloo, and…
Except that's not how it's working. The character that I checked this on was not the one that I had the Slaad as a companion for already (the only one that had claimed it was my TR IIRC). I didn't claim it on any other toons because of the silly counter and since I didn't know how they would be fixing the mistake. So, when…
What exactly are you talking about? I don't understand why you're complaining about 'elites' when I (and others) spent money to qualify for the pets, unless you mean 'elites' to be people who buy zen. It was a promotion by PWE/Cryptic based on purchases within a certain time frame. There was no limited amount. There were…
The free Death Slaad was a mistake. One I hope they correct, but I will merely be disappointed if they do not correct it. The Account Wide Death Slaad Companion was a fix for the mistake made with the promotion back in June. Only the people who qualified for it back in June should have had the Death Slaad available to them…
The Death Slaad, Phase Spider, and Black Death Scorpion were supposed to be account-wide pets for people who qualified back in June. They are just now addressing the "proofreading error", and should be providing these companions account-wide for only those people that qualified during the event.…
So, after work and classes, I log in. The Slaad is disabled, the spider and scorpion are not there at all. *sigh* I'm hoping they didn't implement the other two because of the problem with the slaad going to more than intended.
The cats were a symptom, but people who had nothing to do with the exploit (other than buying suddenly cheap cats on the AH) still lost something they weren't entitled to IIRC. Regardless, it should be easy enough to back out the illegitimate pets. Take them away from everyone that learned it since the patch. Make sure…
Just so you know (even though it's in two other threads), the Slaad account wide companion "fix" has apparently given it away to ALL players, not just those that qualified for it back in June.
The latest post in the closed thread said they wouldn't be fixed/implemented until late afternoon Pacific time. Give them some time, it's not even afternoon there yet.
Well, yes, assuming you keep the rank that you've earned and need to backfill the resources. The issue seems to be one of abuse, and seeking to limit the abuse. Perhaps a slightly different approach? Note, this is purely theoretical because I haven't been in the game since July due to the Bonus Companion issue (which will…
It's good to see a response, thank you for coming back to the thread. I've rewritten a sentence a few times, and no matter how I word it, it seems threatening. I don't really intended it to be. I intend to abide by the request as long as it looks like this is still on your radar and being worked on. That said, I want to…
Nothing has changed in regards to this issue. The initial "fix" was to provide three each for the pets you qualified for, however, that was not implemented correctly and people were given 3/1/3. Or so people have posted. Further, I've heard that if you had already claimed the phase spider, you got 1 on the reward vendor,…
Hope springs eternal! Or, as suggested above, start posting responses to facebook offer announcements explaining this situation (with links to the ad and the thread) to make sure it gets proper visibility and so they know that we still care.
Since there's been no response here, we might have better luck via facebook. I'm guessing they also have a twitter feed, so that might be an avenue to get a response.
FWIW, I plan to follow this thread through the end of this week, in hopes of news or a resolution. After that, my patience will be exhausted, and I'll be done.
This is one of the hurdles of Customer Service. Unfortunately, communication with the players still has to be done. Despite knowing the flow of negativity that will result. Newton's Third Law applies: For every action, there is an equal and opposite criticism. There are the following options right now: 1. Informed of "no…
The facts are as follows: Cryptic/PWE advertised a promotion that clearly stated "Account-wide unlock". "Account-wide unlock" has a definite, unambiguous, meaning for Neverwinter. People bought into the promotion based on the advertisement. Cryptic/PWE acknowledged that they made a mistake on the promotion, after the…
