Did you qualify for the slaad in the promotion 4 months ago?
They were supposed to be unlocked account-wide for people who qualified, but they accidentally unlocked them for EVERYONE, so they are temporarily unavailable. If you qualified for them, you'll get them unlocked at some point. If you didn't qualify, they won't be unlocked.

Either you didn't qualify for the promotion back in June or it became bugged for those who did when they fixed the issue it had Thursday morning. I know the other companions that were supposed to be made account wide in that promo are bugged but I thought the Death Slaad remained claimable for those who qualified. I'll ask when I see Andy next.
June promotion qualification still gives you none.
History since Thursday:
Phase (1): C borked it, made the Slaad a freebie-for-all, instead of 1-3 companions according to the June ZEN purchase amount...
Phase (2): Someone found that out and trumpeted it server wide.
Phase (3): after 3h withdrawal was blocked.
Phase (4): We qualifieds wait on, the ppl who got a free Slaad rejoice and hope to keep it (which they IMHO should and probably will), and life goes on.
Plus side: At least we can see something has been done. Not meant sarcastc at all, it's a huge progress since June, but we're still anticipating an orderly resolution of this issue...
Why not just let the Slaad companion be that account wide "freebie-for-all", and add something else special to the reward claims agent for the qualified players? Maybe a companion helper pack, or one of those Stronghold packs? The Slaad is out of the bag... so to speak. And then make the other two companions account wide as promised for the qualified players only.
The qualified players already got boe version of those companions for 15M+ ads plus the boa version..just saying reading about whats fair and whats not

And about the people who bound them to their chars instead of sell them.. I suppose screw them then....

I disagree, but I'm not a person that feels benefited by profiting from the mistakes of others.
It should not be that difficult to see who claimed one during that time period and remove them from the unqualified (or remove them from all, and let the qualified reclaim). However, that would also involved a CS hullabaloo, and require some kind of compensation for those that spent time leveling the companion.
If they were going to do that, they would/should have done it when they closed down being able to claim them. Thus, it's more likely those that were able to grab it will get to keep it.
