Has the situation regarding the inability to discard Thayan scrolls or trade for something useful without spending AD been solved, or is it still the same?
How does buffing divine exaltation help divine oracles? Any buff to DC should apply to both Divine Oracle and Anointed Champion. And between the two, Divine Oracle is the one that needs help.
Other than fraudulently stating that the epic version of the ioun stone of allure would grant 4% bonus to stats upon upgrade...yeah works fine. Unless of course the additional stats don't really add anything, just rename them to stones of placebo. If you are wondering why people have left this game and why you're having to…
Hmm. My Miracle Healer full set bonus isn't working, but seeing as how your set still works, maybe it's not a universal problem? I wonder what percentage of sets are working vs not working.
You didn't mention that a DC could kill you if he/she executed DC abilities well... But I'm sure that's an oversight since you're already on record for saying no class is underpowered in PvP.
Do you play a cleric? If so, have you tried lvl 60 pvp? And how is that working out for you? So a "Combat Designer" thinks things are well with the cleric? That explains a lot. If standing in a circle is considered "no fun" then why did you make AS in the first place? Why not make it like Divine Armor? You received a lot…
Just to be clear, I didn't say that AS was the only reason I started with cleric. But it certainly was a reason. And my point is that the early reviews and guides people wrote I'm sure had an impact what character people chose. So yes, I'm pretty sure there would have been people who wouldn't have played the class because…
Actually when I read what people were writing about the different classes, Astral shield was one of the reasons I started with cleric. So yeah if the duration was only 10 seconds from the start, and cleanse was on a 20 second cooldown, I'm pretty sure folks like unspecified would have had a different take.
It's posts like the OP that will be the absolute downfall of the cleric class. Make whatever changes you want because we'll adapt. Yep. But you see here's the thing, I play the game for fun and amusement. It's not a job, and it certainly isn't something I have to adapt to if my adapting doesn't increase my enjoyment of the…
Balance isn't as much in issue in DDO because PvP has no material rewards other than for laughs, and every class has certain strengths that aren't easily replicated by the others. As for min/maxing, I think you're hyping that quite a bit. I've never played with an optimal build and did well enough. Min/maxing generally…
One of the tooltips on login states that the best way to regen health is through potions. That being the case, it would appear that it is everyone's job to be healing themselves and not be looking for a nannybot. In that light the changes are fine I suppose, except for clerics being utter trash in PvP now.
I guess you haven't played DDO. Dungeons and Dragons Online. If you did, you'd realize which game was a lot closer to D&D and open your eyes about not pigeonholing characters simply based on class. Btw, I didn't see in your list of roles, "Healer" so that would actually explain a whole lot. Like I said, just rename the…
If everyone can DODGE, survive the 5 seconds and has potions for burst healing, then really there is no point in having a Healing class. Buff up the potions by lowering the cooldown and convert the cleric to a primary party buffer/enemy debuffer, secondary DPS/CC, self healing off tank and remove any illusions about a…
Awesome. So instead of having 1 of my 3 encounter slots taken up I get to have 2 of 3 taken up. Not to mention that I would have to cast 2 spells in Divine mode instead of 1. Good luck with the Divine regen.
I for one don't like the trinity because I don't like being pigeonholed into being a one trick pony, i.e., regardless of the situation all I have to do is X and thats the only thing I can do since that's the only thing I specc'd for. There is no point of having different classes if GF is just another code for Tank; TR is…
Unless I'm completely overmatched by a GF or I completely overmatch a GF, alot of my 1v1 fights against a GF last longer than 10 or even 15 seconds. And it's really not about a single fight, it's about fighting a sequence of fights. One of the big advantages of the cleric in PvP is the ability to heal up w/o having to run…
Well in the upcoming 20v20 PvP, I'm thinking there will have to be some clerics to be able to do the dungeon part afterwards. They should probably have the clerics zone into a different PvP area so that the clerics would just fight other clerics to make things somewhat even.
When I was hoping the cleric in this game would be somewhat like DDOs FVS in that you could DPS, heal, and tank (because you could DPS and self heal). May not be as good in any of those roles as a dedicated spec, but good enough to fill whatever role was needed in the party in any given situation. If the so-called "holy…
How will the threat generation change benefit the cleric in PvP? Hmm...I guess since the cleric will die faster, he'll lose aggro from the other team faster.
I used the wiki since it is a common point of reference. There was no point in my listing my own cooldown time since people have different recovery scores due to different INT, CHA and gear. My fault for assuming that the listed cooldown on the wiki was w/o Recovery. So looking at my numbers, I suspect that AS without any…
I hope they don't change it either. But they've already gone through the trouble of publishing the change which means that they already think that AS in its current form is not WAI. So regardless of whether or not you see a reason, the change is coming unless we can convince them of an alternative. My proposal at least…
So your only "real comeptitor" is a game that came out in 2006 that almost folded and still has a relatively small population. Nice. Good to know you folks are aiming so high. That being said, I'd take DDO active combat over this game's combat any day. Why? Because I can actually move and fight at the same time and not be…
