They probably intend her to a paladin. But sadly to an old school gamer such as myself any heavy armored mace wielding person will always be percived as a cleric. I should get over it, I just can't seem adjust my perspective. So, at least in my mind she will always be a cleric.
Since this is lore q and a and we have the grand loremaster Randy Mosiondz my main question is why, from a lore perspective, are Paladins being stuck with the cleric's mace? A lot of long time players (i started dnd in th early 80's) find this decision to be somewhat dissonant to established lore and particulay to paladin…
I like the concept of leveling your gear. That being said when got my first artifact to purple - not organge mind you - but purple I decided that participating in the RP system part of the game was pretty much not something that was for me. Like a lot of AD cost of upgrades in this game (pet/mount) the cost are just way to…
Thanks for the info Panderus:) And Franjean82 thanks for the forgoten realms perspective - I will admid I never played tabletop in FG. Prefered making up my own worlds. Did read a ton of book and play a more than a few FR vidio games though. I can accept transmutes (hopefully not hard to get/exspensive) for my future pally…
The simple fix is weapon sharing. Shared weapon damage number would then be one less nob the dev can ghange for balancing the two classes. I can understand their hesitation with that. Mace is iconic cleric weapon in dnd. Longsword is iconic paladin weapon in dnd books and art. Someone pointed out Stronheart in the old dnd…
My personal order of preferance: 1. A Songblade bard! I would be nice to have another rogue style class and bards would be a great support class for others. Bards have always been a big part of The forgotten Realms setting in general and the Harpers as well. There is a reason they are called "Harp"ers after all. Given that…
Two of my quest, "the Mines of Gubasso" and "the Vault of Hargon" both take around 17 minutes to complete once you have run them once to get familar with them. Assuming you don't read the dialog and you don't go off looking around. Both of which can be fun but if your looking for fast get in the way. I think the average…
I think you are right on your history, knights would have used a mace more often than a sword. Of course historically there were no dragons to go fight or evil spellcasters to hunt down. I also share you view on leveling gear for the most part. But I wouldn't mind some skin variation while leveling -- for all classes:)…
Just equiped a +1 mace from the weaponsmith profession. Character holds the mace in the middle of the weapon (shaft) instead of the grip handle. Also, having fun with the class so far:)
I will level a pally (just like all the other 7 classes). What my main will be depends a lot on my time avalible and how the GF and OP play. But most likely my main will be one of the tanks or GWF.
I agree that more slots should be purchaseable. Either for zen or astral diamonds. 500z for 5 slots or 25k AD per slot would be fine with me. We ge more slots, cryptic gets cash or another AD drain. Win for all.
1. Gold should be usefull. Injury kits, potions, removeing enchant .... got to be something to spend gold on thats actually fun. 2. Refinement system interface overhall at minimum. Do like xp for refining idea. Cost of refining in terms of time to use interface, astral diamond compents and over number of RP needed way to…
What do you feel The Foundry does right? What feels good to you and what do you have fun doing? Why are you glad The Foundry was implemented in Neverwinter? The Foundry allows for creative time spent in game. Pen and paper DnD would not exsist with UGC and no game should carry the DnD moniker without it. I am very glad…
I just ran the Bonds of a Brother and really enjoyed it - and I liked the fact that even though it was the third in the story it was easy to jump into with very little what am I missing syndrome. That being said I look forward to filling in the back story soon enough. There was a light in the central room that seemed to…
