You should really really test the changes out to TR if you think they're bad. I've done some initial testing on my TR. executioner has some yummy burst potential. I'd like to see feedback from some pros on that tree though. But sabetuer.....mymymy.....it is fabulous. Sometimes words just don't do a tree a justice.
These are needed changes for CW's in regards to PVE. Forcing a choice between super CC with moderate damage or really good AOE dps with moderate CC is how it should be. The toning down of the storm spell and assailing force also is a good and well balanced change for PVE. Having said that for pvp......you just made CW's a…
I like the idea of three distinct trees with very different play styles. When I think D&D rogues this is what pops in my devious little mind. At first sight all three trees seem viable if played well. Need to test of course.
I agree partly here but not fully. I certainly agree a lot of this is a player problem, both on the tanks part and the dpsers part, yet I still think Conq specced tanks are subpar at *tanking* I've never liked the spec as far as a tank goes though since launch. When I ran my GF here I ran a swordmaster/tactician/reflect…
Oh I appreciate them also atm, like I appreciate any team member. I don't deny the debuffs help and speed things along but.....let me speak from a DC's point of view since I have lvld two to 60 geared them to 14k or so then subsequently deleted both. The playstyle is simply unfun and unrewarding. My opinion only of course.…
The only thing that makes a DC wanted and or viable is that HP set. Ya gotta know it's highly improbable they leave that T1 as is after the rework right? DC's as is simply don't bring enough to the table to warrant one over another dps. Astral shield is no longer needed. Heck none of the damage mitigation encounters or…
Hopefully the upcoming rogue changes absolutely destroy the perma builds. Make them completely utterly NON viable in any and every situation. Having said that I also hope they buff the heck out of their damage though.
Mancrush says there's a fix coming for the glyphs. He says he already fixed them internally to be able mitigate, dodged, deflected etc etc etc. I'm of the opinion that even with that fix they need to be removed from pvp. As some others have already stated. There's already more then enough damage without glyphs.
I've pugged this a bunch on my CW and have seen many a GF in the queue. Some are extremely good. They hold, use KV and with these in the group the skirmish is quite doable. On the other hand I've had terribad GF's that couldn't tank a flipping French poodle and they seem to just get melted. I sum this up to in general GF's…
Proper gear score based brackets would actually entice more people to pvp. What we have now is a farce where you have from 9k-20k GS people all in the same match. This is frustrating for everyone. The ones getting stomped and the ones doing the stomping. When people get overly frustrated they simply stop doing an activity.…
I've been playing on and off since launch. The game has it's good parts but are well overshadowed by the bad. I gave 5/10. Once IWD hit it has been all downhill. I am hoping they go a different direction with Rise of Tiamat. Again Cryptic is presented with an opportunity to shine. Will they? Or will they implement more…
I said at least two brackets. Three would be preferable. They also need to lower the price on the 1st tier pvp gear and remove the seal requirement for grym gear. So then you'd have lets say for giggles tier bracket no higher then 11.5 k tier two 11.5+k - ohhhh 15.5k and then top tier. Something like this would give people…
Matchmaking should include gear score, period. No 12k player has any business in a match against 16k+ players. There should be at the very least two brackets. I see people saying that's easily circumvented by swapping gear. All the devs have to do is make it so you can't change gear inside the arenas. Other MMO's have made…
The devs completely ruined some fun combat mechanics by taking away damage from encounters and replacing it with passive damage. They ruined rangers as far as I'm concerned by pigeon holing people into onc build and one build only. I promptly deleted my capped ranger as soon as I saw that mod 4 was going to force me to be…
I know it's a dream, but it would sure be nice if the main/off hand was changed to mace/shield for cleric along with the other wonderful changes coming.
How will these changes to freeze affect powers and feats that refresh and extend chill? Does this break the entire mechanic of chill, making those feats and powers all but useless? If so, does this not then break the entire class as far as it's role of being the main source of CC in a dungeon?
That is simply fabulous news. Thank you devs for listening to all the feedback given over these last few weeks. Now for those upcoming changes later down the road. This is also a no brainer. You make archery a pure ranged tree with NO buffs at all to anything melee. You make combat a pure melee tree with no buffs to…
Split shot is an at-will dearie. 10k per hit? I don't think so. Not unless you have a perfect vorp and over 6k power stacked. Now I, even as an HR player fully agree split shot needed toned down, but not by 45%. It needed a nice 25% percent reduction in damage and no more. The buffs to the encounters they have put in are…
Go to AH. Hit tab for blue gear. Type in 60/60 in each lil box. Hit enter. Buy 50 pieces of lvl 60 blue for 60-80ad each. Sell to merchant. Get gold. Switch enchants. Win. That's a total of about 5 minutes of your time to get enough gold to switch all your enchants back and forth twice. Seriously, this is the last thing…
The only people who will be in open world pvp will be the whales. You PVEers think your 5 little companions are going to help you against them? Folks, understand that there will be people with 60k HP and be virtually CC immune if this goes live as is. Even if everyone had the same stuff. If the playing field were even.…
You need to take the bloodthirsty feat if you haven't already and then use that feat by following a ranged encounter with a melee encounter. Ranger players need to learn that this class isn't about just pewpewing or just staying in melee all the time. To get the most out of your ranger you need to constantly switch stances…
I am leveling a GWF and the fix to deep gash definitely changes my plans for her. It is a needed fix though. Any feat that low in a tree accessible to to all three trees had no buisness being 40% of the damage of the class just as split shot had no buisness being 40% of the HR's dps. Student of the sword should how ever…
DOT the critter up!! Foxes cunning/rain of swords/thorn ward/thorn strike/rain of arrows/foxes shift. Always follow a ranged encounter with a damage based melee encounter. Toss in an aimed strike in that rotation in places and that single critter should be dead then you can go back to pewpewing.
Since thorn strike has been buffed a bit to be more viable, can you add an audio to it....ya know the one.... THORN STRIKE!!! please and thank you. A girl can dream can't she?
Wont argue the fact that on live right now foxes hitting a single target 4 times is a tad to much and that split shot on live is also a tad to much in pvp. But as you see, all that damage has been moved. The ranger will have less burst in PVP and be more viable for group PVE. As for CC in pvp surely you…
I'm not sure you understand these changes. All that has happened is the damage has been moved from split shot and OP foxes shift into other encounters and will force ranger players to be much much smarter. No more 4 hit burst from foxes in pvp, no more faceroll spamming splitshot. Each and every attack is going to have to…
These are exactly the kind of changes I was hoping for. The damage has been spread out over several encounters to give us a choice in game play. We have no single over the top must have skill for either pvp or pve with these changes. Choice is GOOD!! Fixed apsect of the pack which is a fabulous team buff. Oakskin buffed.…
I've went through every possible combo for race/male/female. Some are good, some are just plain horrid. These new faces need to be made a little less anime. Also please leave in the old options and just add the new. Choice is good, replacing all the old is NOT!! one more thing, you see the hair on the drow in my sig devs?…
