I think there's a glut of games, and too many just weaken the fun of them all. I don't do first-person multiplayer games, and shooting games of "real life" are boring and sick, IMO. Killing monsters is one thing, but humans, even in play, is wrong. I much prefer sitting in my recliner with a controller instead of at a desk…
Good post! Great insights on the PvP ego-maniacs and the lousy system for randoms. I tried my first 2 matches last night, and my random team got slaughtered both times, the other teams were clearly working together and had much practice. Plus, my level 60 isn't a booned-up, artifact-packed CW, just a 'low-level' 60. So…
I tried PvP for the 1st time tonight, I found it rather boring. Maybe with a hand-picked team, but random with all of us running off in different directions….no thanks. Plus, level 60 is not at all a sign of equality.
You can, though key binds are more combos much of the time. I'm surprised that we don't get a 2nd toolbar for backup power setups on this game, PCs have often offered this in games. Esp. when there are so many good powers to use, and no way to switch them in and out. One game I play on console has 3 separate options you…
Reminds of the Doom days with god-powers and stuff. Even with a set trap between two of us, some guys just couldn't be beat and made sure we knew it. I like a balanced PvP OK enough, but not slaughters with humiliation-sticks.
I agree and was just arriving to say that. Kind of hypocritical to block any/all aggressive posts on the forums, but encourage players to "humiliate" others, it seems. Certainly contrary, and just one more reason I'll pass on PvP then.
I'm older, early-retired, and I've never even thought of getting actual income from this or any game. Heck, I just finally broke down and initialized monetization on youtube...
No kidding, how lame is that? That's a good idea. I wish I could get rid of all of the reward options, they appear right in the middle top of screen totally in the way. Tried adjusting the HUD, but it does no good. Some people have no lives methinks. Very sad overall. One of the main reasons I play is to play with others…
Not a waste of money, just too spendy for it's worth. I did break down and buy the Golden at 33% off, as I also stated, $10 is manageable for a faster horse, and it is SO nice to be at 80% and not get stopped by every stray enemy in the way. ;)
I'm at 60 now, and I see a bunch of things starting to open up. Some I could've gotten earlier, but I was just all quest-y to this point, to get my character to level 60. Still, it's going to be tough playing this once DA Inquisition comes out...or am I violating some rule by even mentioning that? ;)
You're right on both counts. That dungeon is really tough on me, seconded by the bridge assault, but at least there I have room to run a bit and more room to shoot from. What are your recommendations then? Form a party of my own? j/c, I still love PvE mostly, but yeah, that Aberrant Assault smacks me around bad. Enemies…
Now I got offered the Sharandar quests, and it told me to go to PE. Which I would do, if the server kept up. ;) I think I'm on the right paths now, thanks for your help.
