Hopefully you can still do that. Non-clerics need to stop standing in the fire. People stopped even trying to play smart when there were two Astral Shields in play to keep them safe. There may well still need to be some fine tuning of encounters but you should be able to float a different 3rd encounter skill in there as…
Casual does not mean "not very good". Where do you get that notion from? Why enter a conversation on the offensive against people you don't even know? This is not "Cryptic Studio's Game For Kid's Who Can't Play Good and Wanna Learn To Do Other Stuff Good To". It is free to play to lower the barrier to entry to the game.…
it's not possible to please everyone. the way clerics could stack before was broken. maybe it was fun to be a pseudo aoe dpser but that wasn't really the point of being a devoted cleric. if you rolled one because of the way you could stack and worry less about healing then you're not going to have a good time now that they…
Open beta is the soft launch of the game. Once it begins Cryptic considers the game "LIVE" even if they will not call it "RELEASED" until some time after April 30th (no date known).
I think there is quite a bit of hype within the community of people who were looking for something different in an MMO. Most of the people I know who are solidly committed to the MMO they are already playing could not get into this game for various reasons mostly stemming from what they liked about the games they play…
I'd have to agree. Don't jeopardize real life for a game. It's seriously not worth that sacrifice. When your situation improves there will still be plenty of ways for you to support the game should that be your choice.
Don't hold your breath for this game being some kind of e-sport or have any kind of meaningful PvP like something like a DAoC. Few MMO's are built around the idea of PVP. There is supposedly a 20v20 zone at the end so maybe there will be some fun there for PvP fans.
I actually have the same issue and for the same reason as the OP. When I decided to buy a founder pack I registered a new account on the neverwinter website, signed in, then bought the founder pack. After buying the founder pack, it would not accept the @name that I had just created for Neverwinter claiming that there was…
i think it's a valid question. what's the point of the game? for some of us the answer is "to go on an adventure". in the pen and paper D&D that usually meant a quest to a dungeon or some kind with danger and treasure to be had. i don't think it needs to be a more existential proposition than that. quests that take you to…
