On my first character I never skip anything in an MMO, so that I can really "experience" the game for what it is. So I've completed all the zones and all the quests in this. On my second character I've skipped most of everything and just lvled through pvp.
So basically your argument is that Neverwinter is some sort of a hub for user-created content and that this is the main appeal of the game. Since, well, the flow of user created content is infinite and people around the globe will never run out of new ideas for quests and adventures. I would agree with that (and I'd like…
Funny how some people around here seriously believe that dirt cheap end game gear is a good thing for everyone. The way I see it the only goal for any character in this completely instanced, dungeon crawl heavy game is to get stronger by acquiring new gear. This is achieved by completing end game content with your friends,…
My experience with GWFs as a tank yesterday: Beat three different GWFs in total dmg output in a dungeon by at least 2:1. And I did this as a GF(a class that sucks) in cheap pvp gear. My experience with GWFs as a cleric today: defeat a GWF 1v1 during a pvp match with full HP. I recently got 60 on my Cleric, had a GS as low…
The usual cycle of modern MMOs: people hit the lvl cap, do a few dungeons and move on. There is nothing about Neverwinter that could help it fight this cycle of doom.
I dont know why this topic is always so hot on this board. It doesnt matter whether you call it an Open Beta or a Live launch, because in the eyes of general gaming public this game has been released. People have played it, shared their opinions on it and lots of them have already moved on due to the lack of content and/or…
Nope, this isnt how it works. The majority of people around here arent going to stick to this game for a long time, we will play for a few months at best and then move on, so like I said the eventual merger is completely irrelevant. New server could allow people to have a better few months experience with the game.
I'm well aware that their intent is to merge the servers eventually, but at the rate they are going this wont happen anytime soon, too many other problems to solve. So practically it is irrelevant that eventually there will be only one shard.
Oh you bet your *** it does, son. It gets so challenging that most people get through its late game content by abusing gameplay mechanics. You'll barely find anyone who actually "plays" the late game in Neverwinter.
Dont like the way your country is run? Become a President. Dissapointed at the perfomance of your favourite football team? Become their coach. Think that the sentence given to a recent murderer was not strict enough? Become a federal judge. Seriously man, what's your problem? Everything is so easily solved.
I agree that this is one of the reasons why most modern MMOs are so short-lived, their single-player oriented content lasts at best a month and then you hit the lvl cap and your only options are to start a new toon or to farm dungeons for epic gear. Most players just arent okay with that. It's kind of funny, actually: back…
GF is a redundant class even when built full on DPS. Here's why: - It doesnt outclass a rogue in single-target damage. - Its AOE damage, while very high, is meaningless since most of the time you can just throw adds off ledges. Yes, GFs can dominate the "most damage dealt" ranking during the run up to the boss, but why…
I can see how on paper the GF class sounded great to the developers: shields allies from 50% of incoming damage and blocks that very damage with her shield; puts an aggro mark on every enemy decreasing their stats and blocks all their attacks to not let the mark fall off, thus allowing her allies to freely dps weakened…
There are like 5 worthy Foundry quests at the moment, the rest are uninspired junk that one really shouldnt bother with unless insanely bored. It's not easy to create a good quest even when given solid tools, the best most people can come up with are stupid quests where you just run around killing stuff and read a few…
If Knight's Valor worked properly and had a few seconds lower cooldown (so that it can be up at least 70% of the time) then I could see tanking working in the game. Astral shield forces your party to stay in one place, properly working Knight's Valor would allow a group to move freely on the battlefield while still being…
Except that Knight's Valor is a broken skill that doesnt work half the time. The effect either doesnt land on your allies at all, or it does land but dissapears within 2 or 3 seconds (it's supposed to last 9 or 10 at rank three of the skill) Oh yeah and the feat related to it that's supposed to increase your damage…
Dunno what Im doing wrong, but I can never beat a rogue in overall damage during my dungeon runs. I can maybe sometimes outperform/match them prior to the bosses, but never on the bosses themselves as there doesnt seem to be a way for me to output more single-target damage. Even if I ignore the boss and concentrate on adds…
Hey Envy. Im hearing you now prefer to use the Valiant Warrior set in both pvp and pve. What made you make that decision? Could you please make a research comparing the dps output of the Timeless Hero set vs the Valiant Warrior set, with numbers, screenshots and such? I think everyone would be interested. Oh and if you can…
