I agree with this thought. We have healing dummies in Rift, so the concept is a sound one here as well, especially since my primary role in all MMO games has always been that of a healer. I'd love to parse without asking a player to stand there for me for a few minutes or log onto an alt character to be the parse "dummy".
Since no one else replied to your question and continued to rant . . . Yes to thew cap, but it is per character, so if you have 6 characters you have the potential of 6 x 24k = 144k AD. Right now I am stuck at 6 characters until they come out with a Ranger or Bard class so that's just an example based on my numbers. I hope…
Nothing was ever said about any class being released at any launch. In fact there is no ETA on any class at this time. Race, yes, and that is Drow, and they started that timer with the launch, so at 60 days from launch date Drow will be playable for the free folks.
To add to the reply already given, as a fellow player I can assure that I have played many Cryptic/PW games, with my most favorite being STO and Neverwinter. I use anti-keylogger programs and good AV software and never had anything come up suspicious or wrong with Cryptic games. I also have outstanding performance not just…
No. PvP is ALWAYS optional in Neverwinter. NW and NWN are two different animals altogether. The only thing they share in common is the title "Neverwinter" in them, but nothing beyond that is even remotely related. I hate PvP with a passion . . . it depresses me to see grown people reduced to whining every time someone else…
Hehe. Thanks for confirming that, Ambi. And Em, remember this is a community . . . that is what an MMO is all about. Chances are, if you ask a question on the forum, multiple people who like to help other people will try to assist you in any way I can. I apologize that you were so offended by my trying to assist you with…
Oh wow. I wonder if it has anything to do with the work they are doing to fix the Foundry. Perhaps they are doing adjustments which are resetting the SQL database which holds the tables for the reviews (do not quote me on that - I am only guessing it's an SQL database they use to store such statistics).
LOL I know that feeling so well. I replayed mine a few more times to take more notes and plan for changes and it's like . . . "Must . . . fix . . . " But I agree. I know they are working on it, and when they get it up I'll have a LONG list of notes to make the necessary changes to my mission at once :)
~chuckles~ My friends say similar of me. I have had customer service agents on the phone actually tell me they are confused as to if I am in a good mood or severely ticked off. If a company does something that inconveniences me, I tend to make sure they know it, while at the same time assuring the actual agent that I am…
LOL Probably. I'll put the word out to my guildmates to review this one again. It's just a test mission I made which has you rescuing kittens from ogre elites trying to abuse them . . . basically an XP grind with a twist is all, which is why I do not care about this one being a daily or even being known too well. I just…
Oh wow. I read your reply and went to look at where I was . . . 13 plays, but only 1 review, which is interesting considering last week I had 3 reviews - 1 from my sweetie (for some odd reason that was 5 stars - rolls eyes), and 2 of my buddies I know rated me. Now only one of my buddy's reviews is there in the list. If…
The system is a bit overkill for gaming, but when doing videography and animation, as well as working with CAD design, it actually barely meets standards. Thanks though :) That is what I was thinking, as I know there is a delay before folks can search, but mine has been up for almost a month now and even I cannot search my…
Thanks for keeping us posted, Sir. Looking forward to it coming back up so I can try to find out why my Foundry can never be searched for by Author name LOL. It's like I am invisible to everyone. But at least in the meantime I can play it for XP :) Keep up the updates and again, thank you very much. And on the plus side,…
THANK you. Your post has completely supported and proved the point of just why they DID implement such a system. Every single "point" you made in that post proves why this patch is definitely an upgrade :) Exactly. I agree fully and to make such a system is bar far NO small task. They put a LOT of work into the loot system…
Just skip his posts. He purposefully types gibberish to try to annoy people in the threads. Adding him to ignore, all his posts will say is "you are ignoring this person", which results in his posts making MUCH more sense.
Nice flame for something you apparently interpreted based on your own rage and confusion. I thanked them for implementing a step towards a better system. I never said it was perfect. I never said it was the end of the road and would stop all further issues, but it does help in the long run. The Rift loot system is THE best…
I support this. Step 1 - Disabling "Need" for folks that cannot use the item . . . check Step 2 - Recommended here in this thread - binding such items . . . I support Step 3 - Make it like another MMO I play where the system actually analyzes your stats and ONLY lets you "Need" on an item if it is truly an UPGRADE for your…
I agree and support the community need for a leaver penalty. STO has this and thus I know it can be implemented easily in Neverwinter as well. Also - I noticed in the notes posted about an upcoming patch that they "lowered" the rewards for LOSING PvP . . . why reward failure at all? Do like they do in other MMO games . . .…
Win win situation for me, and thus it is okay. If they wipe - I get to make my decisions over again, spec more wisely, spend more wisely, get only the items I have tested to be what I want. If they don't wipe - I have all of my progress and playtime so far and will be happy there as well. Thus they can do what they wish…
Solution: Just do it like Rift does it - the game assesses not just class but stats. If the item is clearly not an upgrade for you as far as the system is concerned, "Need" is disabled, no matter what. "Need" ONLY appears if you can actually BENEFIT from the item. This is a VERY easy system to implement, and if enough…
If you are getting 200 - 300 ms anywhere in the world, your ISP is wrong, not the game. My sweetie is from the Netherlands and she gets great response - and she's even on a slow laptop! But she gets no issues with lag at all. You need to check your routing because if she's in that area and doing fine, it's not their…
Invisible Clicky . . . sounds good. I'll try to figure out how to do one of those I suppose. I did another foundry along similar terms, but instead of interacting I just had the NPC follow the player once rescued. In this case the trigger was just the enemy getting killed. If anyone wants 50 cats following them all over…
Would these walls be able to be passed through? I'd hate the thought of players on the battlefield running into a bunch of "walls" blocking them from running right through their area. I'm not trying to shoot down answers here. I apologize if it seems like I am doing so. I just want a Foundry Mission for my Guild to really…
