It's planned to have only one server total (well, a couple at launch but then soon merged into 1), so there won't be an RP specific server. On the plus side it means all the RPers will, technically, be on the same server.
This would be excellent. Doesn't even have to be in big 'raid warning' type letters, even. A paragraph in the chat window works so you can describe what's going on.
I've seen posts mentioning that folks aw axes for rogues and other weapons for fighters, so this may just be a case of Beta being Beta. Anyhow, I agree with you that weapon variety is a must.
Great to hear! That was the one downside of the interview. Beyond that I was very impressed that you got answers to a lot of tough questions, so kudos to both you and the interviewees on that. O mighty beta testers, I wanna know about customization! Specifically, armour customization. Lets say I find a piece of swag that looks super cool and fits the intended theme of my character. How hard is it to keep that swag's look, given that it may not have the stats I desire? Ditto for weapon customization.
