In my experience, getting RP has never been an issue. Getting the wards and reagents is the effective gate to upgrading, and with the wards being a real-money item, they are immune to hyper-inflation. So in that sense, letting players accumulate vast amounts of RP, and/or transferring it between alts, really shouldn't…
Heh. I hadn't considered that all of the penalty cooldowns run in parallel. So if you think 5 minutes on each alt to do invoke and professions, you only need 6 chars to keep one 'active'
It dawned on me today that I haven't been playing much. I've been reading the forums re: the upcoming changes on several fronts, but I've only logged in once or twice in the last few weeks, and even then, I just grabbed some influence for the SH. After thinking about this for a while, I think it's because there's no…
Here's my attempt to understand this: Pass1: you are know issue: buying zen not working; i have balance and i talking my (bank, personal), ı dont h ave problem? Pass2: Are you aware of this issue? I can't buy Zen; I have enough money in my checking account to cover it, and talking with my bank, I confirm that there…
Detecting interpenetration (technical term for what you're describing) is not trivial. Modifying the shape of the cloak in response to detecting interpenetration would involve modeling physics. These don't satisfy the "easy" criterion for October Bug Fix.
I'd really caution away from trying to make the game mechanics solve the issue of bad players. These kinds of issues should probably be solved by raid chat. Otherwise, should CW or DC knock-back dailies change to a stun when there's a GWF swinging away at a pile of mobs? Players making bad choices is part of the game. It's…
One of the chultan temples has a small group of palm-trees and bushes at the top of a large stair-case, as the first room you encounter. (I believe it also has a nature skill node.) On that map, there sometimes spawns a skeletal archer in the bushes in the way described here. I've tried all of the CW powers I regularly…
Since we're working several CW teleport issues: CW can teleport 'through' most enemies. (this feature is even shown in the intro movie at lvl1, IIRC). There are certain mobs we can't teleport through: Winter Wolves, Barlgura, Nalfeshnee. Glabrezu as well? Bug or WAI? Given the need to dodge at close range, the existance of…
*sigh* I happen to have 3 restored gleaming frost sapphires ready to feed into my green manaseekers off-hand as soon as I can get the stupid blue marks of uvar to get it past green...greater and superior kept dropping, and now no-one does MSVA. So rather than the 750,000RP I should be able to feed into the offhand, I'm…
You know, with the end of 2xRP, maybe Tymora needs to have a lucky RNG day event. You get a likely masterwork success, a bump up the loot table on every dungeon you run, and a bump up on each of the lockbox contents you open.
History: CW has too many ticking/DoT effects. Storm-spell used to crit. They intentionally nerfed it (I forget when...several mods ago) because all CW built around as many ticking effects as possible, yielding massive amounts of damage from storm-spell. The statements were 'CW is a controller, not a DPS class' and 'it's…
There's a fine distinction between 'private queue' and 'random queue with a full party'. The RQ encourages you to have random players...but you can avoid it.
Unfortunately, the design is intended to average out the public queue time for all dungeons. The thought is that this will reduce the queue times. If you queue privately, you don't help the open-queues pop faster.
Together, these are funny statements. Sounds like you should roll a GWF rather than a TR. I don't think the solution to class balance is to make all the classes the same. There's even historical precedent for piercing damage in the long, thin rapiers that dominated Elizabethan/Jacobian Europe as a direct response to the…
Meh. This isn't a charity. I had really hoped VIP would be the final monitization strategy...and I was happy to pay for it, until they got greedy with the wards. For someone who works as a commercial software developer, it's obvious how this kind of decision comes down. boss: why is your revenue so unpredictable? Good…
I agree with this one pretty strongly. I recently ran CT for the Portobello's game task...I felt so bad. I'd hit Icy Terrain, and clear an entire room. I started pausing just to let other players even see the enemies. But I also wasn't the only 70 in there, so they still didn't get much action. I've taken to doing the…
People are going to hate that suggestion, but it's not the worst idea...so long as 1. You can get your 'daily private queue key' in PE alongside the daily dungeon key 2. VIP comes with 1/2/3/4/5 daily private-queue keys. ...and you should probably be able to buy them directly with AD, like epic dungeon keys. Talk about…
They've spent every mod since strongholds trying to convince us to stack recovery instead of crit. (though Chult does seem to be going the other way). Nerfing recovery might help for TR permaroot, but no CW stacks recovery because we have spell-twisting. Rather than counting stacks, etc, which gets super complicated when…
...Or better yet, add the shield to the game, and develop a quest to go find it. Maybe the statue once held the actual shield, and it was an artifact. Maybe the statue's shield is a spectacular transmute. Maybe it's just an oversized normal shield that some players would like to carry for its comical effect. Whatever it…
200k is about the average a boss hits for these days. Players hit for well over 200k regularly. I've run barkshield since I got my first coal ward; its old behavior was tremendously useful; I think it will be almost useless with the 12b changes. I've made sure to grab my 9 shards of soulforged for 12b (speaking of driving…
I've only been back for about 2 months after a year off (when they removed wards from trade-bar store). The grind is as strong as ever (stronger?) but it's way easier to earn AD. I earn the daily cap in 2 dungeon runs per day. mod 12b should make it easier getting up the ladder, but it also made the ladder substantially…
