Well the crafting professions just let you make items to use/sell in game. The shirts and pants you will be able to make at high levels are in demand and go for quite a few AD. Leadership is a little strange... It lets you get items you can use in other professions but does nothing in and of itself (except give you titles…
I was in the same boat as the OP (kind of.) This is my first 3D MMO. I'm coming over from Ultima Online and was pretty overwhelmed at first, but thankfully the game has been pretty easy to grasp and I was level 60 and in my PVP gear in a month or so. If you (or anyone else) is on Mindflayer and needs help you can PM or…
Leveling I wouldn't really worry about defense. You'll be burning through mobs pretty easily and you have to tools to survive most things. I went full glass cannon with a combo of piercing and smiting gear. I just tried to keep my crit as high as I could and I breezed through everything until mid 50's when mobs could start…
The tome is probably from a node. It's just something to sell. The keys are no longer used. Once upon a time on crypt runs there were bonus chests/boxes that you needed those keys for. In short you can sell both of them.
I'm afraid that the game will start being balanced around PvP which would be terrible. D&D is about dungeon diving and other adventures, not beating each other up.
It was an odd choice for them to trim the CG. D&D is all about story. Why remove some of it? Especially when it's the intro to your game and doesn't affect anything in game.
Well... um.. uh... If you get rid of all your awesome gear and level all new characters and reformat your computers and I will PvP you scrubs! BRING IT ON, PLEBEIANS!!
I only read the forums at work (when I should be working...) and I agree with you that people on the forums can be very negative. It's good to remember though that probably less than 5% of the players actually post here so there is hope yet :) I have enjoyed PnP D&D for many years and I am really getting into this game as…
You have to transfer your Zen to this game. Go to the Perfect World site and access your wallet. From there you can transfer the Zen to Neverwinter. This happened to me, too :)
Exactly! Pre-AoS Ultima Online is the most skill based PvP MMO there is and there was no points to be gained for defeating players. It was to see who was better. If you want to chase big shiny things stick with PvE I guess.
