I'm mainly a CW. I haven't played any other classes in PVP yet. I've heard some whining that we are the OP kid on the block right now. all i know is that im a ranged dps guy with CC abilities. I end up as the mvp or at least the highest k/d ratio because i play smart and bank on other players not being knowledgable enough…
im wondering how they will tweak the races in the future. do initial ability stats really affect the game that much vs equipment stats? and does the human's extra feat points give them more feat points by level 60 or is there a cap on feat points?
Yup. the suggested builds in 4e phb were translated to classes in Neverwinter. it would be cooler if they eventually opened up the full class and allowed for choosing the build templates only as an option. :)
I'd like to see bard most of all. but still want it to be a lesser used class ;) buffing/debuffing/charming and build versatility. monks are always fun. archery rangers are classic. barbarians are cool. swordmage would be exotic
i vote for bard. my favorite class :) -jack of all trades -buffer/debuffer -controlling mobs -bardic knowledge -extra customtization due to disregard to restrictions. :)
Amen. Bard is my favorite class in D&D. iconically in all games that have bards, they usually are the group buff/debuff class. my favorite reasons for playing a bard: 1.) underrated, played less often. this makes me special :P 2.) jack of all trades. i can cast spells, i can melee, and i have a wide variety of skills. 3.)…
I say you are building a straw-man argument. Every game has whiners. And just because someone whines doesn't mean their opinion isn't valid. The boards will definitely influence the devs. And I'm against stifling people who disagree with some design decision.
I was a bit disappointed as well when I realized what they took out of DnD (4e) to design this game. While, i'm accepting for what it is, I would hope there is still time for development. First off, i just want to say that arguments against changing anything based on "this is 4e...sorry you don't like 4e" is fallicious. It…
here's my input on CW playing it up until 25. yeah, i do wish the the controlling effects lasted longer. I had no problems soloing though, because I knew how to use my knockbacks, freezes, stuns in rotation to keep mobs at bay, and then flashstep away when need be. it seemed kinda easy to me overall. in group quests, I…
as a wizard, i really don't like having pre-chosen spells at level up. it bothers me there are no d&d skills in game. nor traditional feats. they made the game very simple so people not familiar with d&d can play it with ease. i guess that's the thought behind it? i think what bothered me most in beta was after i gained…
i think there is too much solo content for it being d&d. secondly, yeah the first 20 levels were easy. pots need cooldown increased for live, for sure. drops will need to decrease or money will be too easy as well. and the quests are too simple so far. there is no thought for me. just run through and button mash. rinse and…
I would also like to add that i think that the quests are too easy at this point, imo. even the group quests. i guess its fine if you want a mindless run through everything and button-mash with other classes, regardless of what kind of group of classes you have. the difference in classes as of right now are more similar…
I got an ecopy of the magazine through google play magazines. It just had a link I had to enter into my browser, asked me a trivia question about the contents of the issue, asked for an email address and after filling that out, I got sent a key. That form seems exploitable. I hope that's not the case...
