I liked that there wasn't a traditional final battle. If you're just one person helping to defend against enemy hordes, you're last fight probably isn't going to be the most dramatic one against the toughest baddest bad guy. When I played A Simple Request solo it was much easier to figure out. It seems pretty easy to miss things with people when you're not used to puzzling together. Wow! Thank you so much for this incredible and helpful review. I'll keep working on it. I just got through playing yours with a friend. We got stuck at the part with the lions. I'm going to play it again later, and see if I can't figure it out. Up until that point, everything was great! I really liked the feral mans.
