If you think the general public of Neverwinter will give you kinder reviews then the Authors you have another thing coming. They are often total flamers and rude as hell, they rarely read your warnings and notes and will often mark you down if you quest isn't the ideal daily. For example I keep getting negative reviews for…
My 3rd quest of the campaign in my Sig has jump puzzles. Easy ones really. It's called 'Timefire: Caverns of time' or something like that. Use the code if your interested :) It also has combat just to warn you. Maybe you will like it? I keep getting negative reviews for it because of the jump puzzles even though I warn…
To be honest, I am not sure map maker should HAVE to pick a boss. Many maps have no need for them. I am not really sure how bosses can be exploited anyways, they are like regular mobs just take longer to fight. Just turn off their XP and tie it into the quest complete XP (varied by how long the foundry took) and I don't…
I totally agree with this. If a person wants to stand around in foundry's waiting like an idiot to get his reward, then let him do it. Tying time spent to rewards is the way forwards. I guess people will make afk maps, but there is probably a way to stop that.
That's a shame. But chances are it was just badly implemented. There would be ways around exploiters, like not dishing out rewards based on anything buy time spent in a foundry session.
I am trying (seems to be down at the moment) to publish a new version now with less FX. It turns out I had multiple layers of fog. I kept the fires etc in, hopefully deleting lots of fog patches will have sorted it. Got a few 1 star reviews for that error >.<. Still my PC plays it fine and its 2 years old.
What a great way to level! You will get a totally unique experience! My campaign is in my sig, just working on making it longer because I just found out quests have to be over 15 mins to qualify for daily >.< Anyways, try it if you like, I think you will be pleasantly surprised :)
About 24 hours ago now. Still no luck. But it says 'currently publishing' in the map, and 'not published' on the map selection screen. I have typed in the codes in game, so I don't think it is secretly published. I think their server is just taking forever to update with the new maps. I have previously published quests,…
I have this too. :( I spent about 4 days making my campaign and am now ready to start testing it on the public. Just waiting for it to publish, I am patient but this is getting a bit out of hand, its been a LONG time. I hope they fix this soon too. (edit: my sig has campaign number on it if anyone want to help me test it…
Thanks! I will see about making a quest that sets the scene. I am not very good at story telling so must get my creative hat on if it is to be more story driven :P I now wish I didn't submit it to cryptic as I dont feel its finished :( Oh well, c'est la vie
You can search all quests by putting the code in the 'Best' tab of the catalog. Even ones with 0 plays. It doesn't always come up in the search, but if you keep trying (sometimes with relog) it works. For example you could play and review my new quest by putting NW-DRGDPR7HL in the best search tab. Hint hint ;) Hehe
Still no ticket reply yet :( But my map has become searchable (to me at least) now it has had 5 written reviews. Seems you must find it yourself and share it with people by grouping with them. After it's reviewed 5 times you can find it easily. My map is called 'The Last Charge' and it seems to come up in the 'New maps'…
