  • Yep. Bloodtheft / Lifedrinker enchants have it, as well as a boon or two, but that's about it. If you want life steal, you can still have it - but you're going to have to give something else up to get it... Back to the OP, though - is it possible that the dummies have defence / deflect stats? If so, your armor penetration…
  • What class are you playing? Any particular powers being used around the time they dropped through the floor? I've never had a boss drop through the floor while on my Cleric....
  • It's not just affecting HE rewards. I've got a couple of Eternal Equipment chests from the Adventurer seal vendor that give the same error when I try to open them.
  • At-will: Lance / Conflagrate Encounters: Sunburst (solo), Javelins, BtS Dailies: Celestial Prom / HG Feats: Top row, except #4. Open with at-wills - usually Lance, but I'll occasionally use Conflag if there aren't many minions around, and throw BtS on the big mob. Assuming Lance: 1. Wait for mobs to get packed in, Javelin.…
  • Cleric here - I run with 2 cooldown powers, and one that's fuelled by Divinity (Sunburst, Javelins, BtS). Use my at-wills to start things, javelin for the AoE - that clears a good chunk of minions out. Two more at wills, then BtS on something big. Sunburst to give myself space, and a chance at topping up my pips. Repeat.…
  • Not only do they need that option in the AH, they need to display the companion and bonus type on the companion tooltip - that way you don't find the stat / bonus you want, only to find out that it doesn't fit in the slot you have available. On the AH, we should be able to narrow things down to "I'm looking for a…
  • There are a multitude of items that will sell for more than the cost of buying materials from the vendor + commission - especially if you have a -50 to-75% commission artisan. Personally, I like making the Brass Rings, and vendoring those. 34 silver each, and the materials cost coppers. Use morale with a Miracle Worker,…
  • @"noworries#8859" This is a clip from my combat log: "[Combat (Self)] Your Barkshield Armor absorbs 1 (1) damage from Greater Ettercap's Backhand. [Combat (Self)] Greater Ettercap deals 28591 (32400) Physical Damage to you with Backhand." You've read that right - my rank 14 barkshield enchant soaked *1* whole point of…
  • I generally don't have much of a problem with divinity, until fairly late in longer fights. Of course, I only usually use one power with a divinity cost (javelin). Sunburst, Javelin, Geas are my usual load out, with Lance / Conflag as at-wills. Open with Lances, Javelin, Conflag x2, Geas. Sunburst if mobs are in close.…
  • This. So much THIS. I'm fine with the REs being there, don't mind the mechanic at all - but it's level 80 content and has no need to be scaled down. If players want to wander in, and test their luck, fine. This is especially true given the issues with scaling - I go from 60k+ Armor Penetration at level 80 to ~33k (~55%) at…
  • Bolded for emphasis - you'll really want to keep your stats as balanced as you can. Ignoring a couple because "LOL! Deeps!" will hurt. Some are really easy to cap on - Armor Penetration, Accuracy, and Critical Strike were all really easy for me to reach. Combat Advantage and Awareness are more difficult, I'm finding,…
  • Butterflies are NOT your friend. At all. I've only done that fight on my DC, and could fight from range, so that's the best I can do. Might want to pull out a striker companion to lend a hand, though. Or a healer to keep you fighting.
  • I'm ok with scaling as a concept - to a point. If I complete content, and I go back, I shouldn't feel like quests in that zone are difficult. This is content I've already mastered, so should expect to maintain that level of mastery afterwards. The problem, I think, isn't that Cryptic is scaling us down, but seems to be…
  • Couple quick things... 1. When you say "went back to..." - what level is your DC vs, the level of the zone? Scaling (as you might have heard, is having some issues.. :-p ) 2. Yeah, some powers changed / were removed / were added - but I'm doing ok with it, without any issues with divinity. Lance / Conflag on at-will,…
  • I really liked the Chult campaign. The weekly haul was WAY better than dailies, the patrols were worthwhile to do, the hunts provided great gear.... Once you found good routes, even dashing around the map wasn't terrible. Maybe not great, but you could at least try and snag a rare mob on the way to where you were going -…
  • They dropped while wandering zones, and not in dungeons? Maybe my mind is just not remembering it (probably because nothing ever dropped for me), but I can't recall a time when stuff of that level ever dropped 'in the wild'. Heck, even outside of some dungeon-specific stuff (shard of orcus, fragmented key, etc) even…
  • Genie's gifts are under the "Misc" section of the AH. Honestly, though, Maze Engine - though long - is a pretty easy campaign to do. One quest per day, with the occasional story quest thrown in. Not really worth spending that much AD on GG to jump ahead on, IMO.
  • Well, you'll likely want an augment pet of some sort, regardless, and the extra damage it provides will be pretty decent, I think. Overall, though, I'd recommend just holding on to it, and see what tomorrow brings.
  • If you talk to the Arcane Brotherhood contract person, proceed up the hill a bit, and they'll be on your right, next to another quest giver.
  • It's been mentioned before, but worth mentioning again - a player should be able to see if a companion bonus is offense, defence or utility in the tooltip.
  • Likely won't make it in for launch, but @asterdahl / @"noworries#8859" I'd ask that you stop tying feats to more than one power. Having a feat affect one power is fine, and very much in line with 5e philosophy. The moment you include a second (Power X does something to Power Y), you are essentially making 2/3 encounter…
  • Scaling should not be using preset values to bring players down below their current levels. Simply reduce stats by a set %. For example - between level 70-80, the difference in having 100% Armor Penetration is 5% (you need 60k at 80, 57k at 70). Therefore, when you scale a player, scale their ArP stat down 5%. There. Done.…
  • KTeam is, quite frankly, a terrible example to haul out as "difficult", as regardless of your item level, you're scaled back to 'minimum' scores. 20k ilevel? 18k? 15k? Not in Kteam. You're set to the lowest bar - and the scaling is already so arbitrary, you're not sure if your weapon / armor enchant will be working, or…
  • As I said on the Preview forums, I have no problem with the 'complete' Enchant Exchange vendor going away. It'd be nice if you could exchange for the new enchants coming out, though, even if they are BtA. There is no current way to get any of the new enchants, short of (I'm guessing) the new lockbox, so it'd be nice to at…
  • The GWF has always been the Barbarian in everything but name until now. The "Unstoppable" mechanic was so much like the Barbarians "Rage" mechanic, I'm surprised they didn't start with the name. If the name change for a class is enough to drive you out, though, I'd guess you weren't really that attached to things here.
  • The enchant exchange was always setup for an equivalent type of enchant - i.e. single stat for single stat, 2 stat for two stat etc. So Draconic for Black Ice exchange was possible, but not Brutal for Black Ice. I agree with @adinosii , though - not a huge deal if it's not there, though it'd be nice if the new enchants…
  • This won't happen this late in the process, but... Wouldn't it make more sense to scale stats as opposing %? If a level 80 has "100%" (i.e. enough to overcome resistances for offence) of a stat (66,000 in this case), that'd translate to 100% at level 70 - which is 57,000. The max. numbers are already well known, so…
  • I've got one word for you - LEECHES!
  • Huh. TIL.... Are you sure it won't just be transferred to be a regular character? Seems odd that they'd delete a toon, regardless of it's status of "Foundry Author"....
  • It really depends on what stats you need right now / will need later. Most end-game characters already have 100% critical chance and 100% Armor Penetration, so will add power, for more damage. If you're not at the point, you might look at raising some enchants to get there. For defense - for the next 13 days, at least -…
