Ok, I'm pretty sure I just managed to hit a 1,000,000 Anvil crit against one of the mobs in eDemo. Because I was in edmo I didn't think of bloody recording it to check. If it did actually happen then there's clearly something bugged about how it interacts with other classes - I was also in a group with a DC, GF, CW and TR.

If the content was in any way difficult, would the CW still heal enough to keep people alive? DCs and Healadins also offer way more than just healing. There are some serious buffs rolling out of those classes.

Yes, but people all call for nerfs on everything that isn't their class without properly thinking things through. Two wrongs don't make a right. The CW should be rebalanced, not the GF.

What needs to be brought in is more viable paths/builds for the other classes in the game. Some of them, like the Hunter, only have one viable path. The rest barely have two. The only way to find out is to stick a top tier DPS Pally in a group with a top tier buff/debuff GF and Cleric to see what happens. Stick a Pally in that group and I bet you'll be seeing much higher numbers than you expect to. Stick a top tier GWF in there and it'll be crazier still.

GF has a striker tree. A tree entirely dedicated to DPS. It shouldn't be able to keep up with a GWF and in 99.9% of cases can't even get close. The video shared in this thread is an anomaly. I bet if you replaced that GF with a GWF then it would be even higher again.

No, a GWF wont be able to tank Orcus because Orcus is an incredibly cheap OHKO boss with pretty much all of his moves. Even an 80%DR GF will be one-hit if he drops the shield at the wrong time to try and throw a buff out or regen some stamina (which, with the amount of lag there currently is in his fight, is pretty easy to…

If someone is hitting a 1 million anvil then there's going to be a debuff DC and another buff GF in there to make that possible. The debuff DC is the one that's really responsible for those crazy numbers.

The GWF's Sentinel class is massively underrated because everyone assumes GWF = DPS. A life steal orientated Sentinel class will do a lot less damage, but they're nigh-on unkillable. An Iron Vanguard Sentinel is PvP is also a terrifying opponent.

For most average players yes, but not for the high iL/Guild GFs. I'm 3.8k iL and in PvE i have 24k Power and hit the 80% damage reduction cap without activating any powers or being buffed in any way. In PvE I can sacrifice about 10% damage resistance and 4k power to hit 100% armour pen. And my guild only has level 6 Boon…

Except it's not, is it? The Tank has three very distinctive trees and roles. It's a Tank, Controller and a Striker. Yes, a top GF's encounter rotation can kill most players one-on-one. But then they have a 10 second wait before they're useful again. This entire game is massively biased towards DPS so not sure how anyone is surprised tbh :( At least heal DCs and OPs have a leaderboard. Tanks/Buffers have nothing.

Actually just checked - there's 0 Armor Pen on any of the Burning or Lionsmane sets. Where are you getting that much RI from?

Axe beak = 5m, Darks = much cheaper ;) And yeah, once you're top end you can start swapping out the Darks for more Power or Recovery makes sense. I wouldn't bother too much with Crit as you need a hell of a lot extra to make a really noticeable difference imo.

I've actually changed to the Shield Maiden now. She also has a lunge attack, though it isnt quite as long distance as the Portal Hound, but has the advantage of an extra ring slot. If you use the Underdark gold rings you end up with a total of 9 defensive rune/enchant slots on her.

The only time I've seen people kicked from Throne is when they kill the Hulks.
