People seem to have forgotten that this is largely a PVE game and while module 2 does favour GWF in PVP - GF still laugh at GWF threat generation when it comes to dungeons.
It is true that at times companions generate more threat than players, however keep in mind that some enemies have a hatred for certain classes. The Zombie Hulks, for example have a hatred for clerics (including companion) and are almost immune to threats and can only be plyed off the cleric if enough spike dmg is applied.
An alternative solution to dying hoping someone will rez you, run away from adds and try not to get hit or attack them and wait for determination gauge to go down. Once fully down, it will fix itself.
