Is it normal for my healer companion to pull more threat than my GF?

As stated in the title, is it normal?

I'm currently at level 30 and I've noticed that enemy characters make a beeline for my companion. I've even marked a Hulk but he continued to beat on my healer while I hit him in the back.

Why I think this is wrong is because my main is a DC with a Man-At-Arms companion and he draws far more aggro than I, which is perfect as I can keep him alive while dispatching what ever is attacking him.
PSA: You don't need to grind Spinward Rise for your Elemental artifact main hand if you have some AD lying around. You can craft it via the Tyranny of Dragon's campaign screen.

Yup, this is quite common since the beginning of the game. There have even been a few Youtube videos of Cleric Disciple companion pulling more threat than any tank.

If you actually watch the animation of the companion carefully, you will sometimes see a sort of rogue like "purple question" mark over the heads of enemies from the companion. It seems to be like some kind of aoe fixate, not a true hard taunt. So, you can get back aggro after a while if you do enough damage, use a high threat power like Aggravating Strike or use your own hard taunt like Knight's Challenge.

It is true that at times companions generate more threat than players, however keep in mind that some enemies have a hatred for certain classes. The Zombie Hulks, for example have a hatred for clerics (including companion) and are almost immune to threats and can only be plyed off the cleric if enough spike dmg is applied.
