It is a good idea, bu too easy to abuse. The solution is so painfully simple... When the ignore flag triggers, squelch the account pending GM. A chat box with the accounts last 20? chats pops up on a GM's screen. GM hits Squelch or Don't Squelch button. It would take 5 seconds. If the ignore was a report spam, the GM can…
At minimum they should open a post fix server and allow people who spent zen on the other servers to refund their zen back. A 7 hour roll-back for a problem which has existed since release.
There is likely no way to fix the bloated economy as the AD have pervaded too many transactions. Don't wipe, but open a new server for people who want a more stable economy and reverse the Zen transactions for people who want to go there.
I got nothing when I opened the chest, as did at least four on the team (#5 never spoke the entire very social run). I did notice a blue sword in my inventory the next morning which i have no idea how it got there, very possibly this bug. Sadly I didn't notice it until I had just bought a nearly identical sword with my…
The crafting by proxy system is a good system. This is a half-butted implementation of that system. I find this crafting system tedious and a serious money grab. The gateway is a great addition but seriously flawed in implementation at the moment.
The combat is fun and fast. The setting is well done. Beyond that it feels cheap and rushed to me. Most basic elements are in barely working condition. Things like the AH, crafting, lfg tool. The work, but are not up to today's standards. The early dungeons and skirmishes are comically easy, and show little effort or…
It is an amazingly poor design. I Hager@MyFriend it so very Veronica@SomeGoldSpammer much that I want to throw my Kenny@MyCollegeRoomate out the window.
If it makes you feel better that is $1.25 at current prices (up from a dollar a week ago). Not a very expensive mistake, and certainly not worth the time and aggravation of fighting their CS for it.
I don't think the finder makes any type of requirements for a group. I have done 12 pugs with group finder. 3 had no healer, so that's not required. I can't speak for tank as I am a Guardian, but it's hard to imagine they require a GF to make a group when there is a semi-tank available, but not require a cleric when there…
To support some answers you've already gotten. No, this game has next to nothing to do with the D&D rules, any edition. The only "rule" book that would be of some service is the Neverwinter Setting book, but that's not about rules, but the setting.
I am also disappointed with how easy the early dungeons and skirmishes are. Several of my pugs have gone out of their way to now work together and succeeded with no deaths. I hope the people are right that they get harder.
I don't think that is accurate. I have rarely seen a group which works together, and yet I have never been unable to win a boss fight. I expect a 4 man team would do fine. The Epic dungeons might be a different story.
Agree that the corollary concern. I'm not saying the difficulty shouldn't increase. It should. However, if the first 4 group events require no ability, then players get into bad habits.
I understand that having a good guild (I hope I do) will make for better groups. My concern is if they will be necessary. Having a good group (to me) isn't very satisfying my a group of 5 morons soloing near each other could accomplish the same thing (as I've witnessed so far). It's a shame they decided to make the early…
So far I've done 5 dungeons and about 8 skirmishes and the only death (and the only time near death) was caused by geography. None of these teams worked together and tried to act as a team.
If it had two wheels it's still a car (though it would be hard to drive). My point is, you can't choose to rename something and then have it follows the rules of your name. It is what it is, and this has every meaningful characteristic of a release, thus it is a release. If they wanted to call it "elephant", it wouldn't…
It's not shady, it's business. They need to get money for the game. They are choosing to get it through things like bags and respecs than from monthly fees (and box sales)
They are charging for the game (using their full income systems). All developments, characters, etc... are permanent in the game (no wipe). All pre-order bonuses are now (or about to be) over. The game is available to the public and being advertised and market on websites and magazines as Play Now, not coming soon (and…
