I'm also having this problem, but I did *not* do the other quest in a group. I have the hilt in my inventory, but still can't pick up the sunsword.

@nitocris83 Seconding the previous comment, is there any chance of seeing at least parts of the event like 2xRP and AD added to the calendar for a day or weekend during December? That seems like it would be a much smaller technical and QA impact. Thanks!
