it'll help you get to 20 quick quick because of the xp booster and the nice weapon. the astral diamonds are worth like 15$ and the mount and companion are also quite cool. (fast mount) so ye I'd say my money is well spent, too bad that the game in its current state is not worth it. :( You might wanna just wait it out.

There's one flaw in your theory. While investigating these people have free access to spread the astral diamonds :) which will result in untrackable AD. The damage has been done, it has been contained but cannot be reversed, only minimalised, as what they are doing now, sadly.
