  • Thanks, I will try that :)
  • Which encounter powers did you use for that?
  • I honestly hate BoP. Now why is that? -PvP Thats always a problem. For interesting matches you want people with equal gear and skill on each team. Now the skill would need a ranking, the gear is a bit different. While there is pvp gear in this game there is only one set and on tier per class. Cleric items for example suck.…
  • The 15% won't help you much unless you find a feat where running away gives divine power. In epic boss fights you will find that you will spend very little time on at will attacks. Most of the time you are kiting adds and dodging red circles. Also I have astral shield and healing word in every dungeon. I am still not sure…
  • In the bottom paragon tree there is feat that gives you divine power each time a power comes of cooldown. You can max out the middle (healing tree) and still grab it. I know it is tempting to spend more points in the healing tree but divine power each time something comes of cooldown is just amazing. It works for each…
  • Brand of th sun would be more for the 2nd slot instead of seal I think. With seal and sun the only thing you could spam would be seal. Also I kind of like the temp hp of SF. I put points into more healing if my targets have temp hp so I don't want to give up SF.
  • It's the temp hp that procs it. So far its the only skill I noticed that procs it (thankfully). So you can avoid it by only using sacred flame two times I guess, which kind of defeats the purpose. Seal seems to be fine and since lance does not affect allies it should be fine too.
  • Well I would say that sacred flame is the main problem. I can only test the plague fire at the moment but who says that the founders enchantment does not damage allies too? Since it only has a chance to proc and does not that much damage you probably would not notice it. It works on enemies as well. The problem is each 3rd…
  • Hi Companion First you should use a companion. You get one fore free at lvl 16 and you should pick the cleric. You summon your companion by pressing c, switching to the companion tab and pressing the summon button. If you chose a different companion you might want to go back and buy a cleric for 2 gold. It really helps a…
  • When you get forgemasters flame you get your first good way to heal your group. Use it with divine power on a strong mob and you get decent healing for everyone around. Combine that with healing hands so you have something between fights or for ranged party members. As third I would take daunting light, the dmg is just too…
  • For epic dungeons you need a certain gearscore at the moment to be able to queue. Thats actually pretty ridiculous. -The gearscore itself seems rather buggy and better gear does not always have better score. -Your companion changes your gearscore. It makes a certain sense since you can take it with you to a dungeon, but…
  • I can only answer one of your questions: The Panther companion is purple. His abilities are: -Pounce Jumps on the target dealing dmg and grants a combat advantage. 5s cd -Claw Claws the target dealing dmg, more dmg if the panther has a combat advantage. 1s cd -Charging Pounce (unlocks at companion lvl 30) Pounce deals 50%…
  • Xalgni is right, no one can take your name away from you. The @handle is what makes you char unique. For example, everyone could name his char bob. In the chat you would simply see bob@kusakabei, or bob@aetam, etc. Over the character head it would display in both cases simply bob. Thats actually pretty nice for RP. There…
  • The problem I have with pve is that it gets boring fast. A dungeon might be fun in the beginning, when you are still figuring out what to do, but after a few successful times its just always the same. You are fighting a predictable script. You do not have to adept, you might not even have to think after a few times. Pvp…
  • Harrowdale, Shadowdale, Daggerdale, Archendale, Deepingdale, Scardale
  • -Warlock (with an infernal pact) -Druid -some melee cleric
  • In STO it took them... I think about 3 years to implement the change char button. And I think champions online still does not have this option. Now since this feature is obviously part of the engine I think in about 1-2 years we will get it in nwo too ;)
  • I would love to play a real healer too but cryptic does everything in their power to prevent that. I was only lvl 38 but so far the best heal I found was forgemasters flame. Thats the sad point, your pure heals heal less than a dmg skill. Also I played most of the time with a gwf. While his dmg got better in higher lvls I…
  • Dougan's Hole, Good Mead, Caer-Konig and Caer-Dineval
  • Don't worry. Cryptic is not known for its pvp focus. Also it seems to me that the cleric is only designed and balanced for pve. A self healing reduction in a pvp team game is joke. The enemy will focus the cleric and he will die. In pve your GF can tank and hold aggro, so you do not have to heal yourself as much as a…
  • In STO quests are always scaled for the highest lvl party member. So if a lvl1 and a lvl 50 team up the enemies will be lvl 50. Also there is an option to scale your lvl to the party leader, meaning the lvl 50 could be scaled to lvl 1 and the enemies are lvl 1 or the the lvl 1 could be scaled to 50 and the enemies are lvl…
  • The game feels like D&D so far. They have done a great job with that. Honestly I would like 3.5 better but I have to admit that 4e makes a better MMO. Still there were some things during the BW that I was missing: - Weapons My GF found one axe he could use from lvl 1-26. All quest rewards and other weapons were swords. No…
in D&D Feel Comment by aetam1 April 2013
  • I was only lvl 26 so if it gets better I am glad to hear it. But in the end I fear clerics are reduced to provide some sustain. They can patch up minor injuries and and help with stray hits. But if someone fails to dodge a bigger hit he has to use a pot. In the end it feels a bit like everybody for himself. While a…
  • I fear they will simply use the non bugged version of the self healing reduce next and blame any feedback so far on the bug. The true concerns, like the lack of real healing for groups or the problem with self healing reduction in pvp will be ignored. Also I think I read that they did buff healing companions in BW3(I…
  • Any class can get a healing companion. So a cleric does not need less potions. At the moment he even needs more. The self healing is so pitiful he has trouble getting him self up to full health out of combat... Also healing potions are way better than a cleric. They have better burst healing and almost no cd. A cleric…
