I think Sentinel can be build for tanking but it req too much AD/money .
Just made some calk and i think GWF can reach even 100 % deflection so all those dmg will cut by GWF defection serv.
And if they have bark +seldarine set +80 % cap def they will got from lets say from 1 million dmg 94 k but they have also temp so they can survive brutal one hit .
So another example ECC archer hit the GWF with 100k he will got 9400 dmg from it the frist dmg will be reduced by 5 k from bark and you will get back from seldarine set another 1.6k hp.
But this is just a theory cuz i dont have enugh money for it i think this buld req at least 60-80 kkk ad.
And this is not rigth . Cuz to build a tank from GF you dont need even a little money investment but to build a GWF to do they job it req 60-80kkk its insane.

T2 mobs are a different story, but seeing as that might buy you enough time to use daring shout and unstoppable immediately (depending on how many targets daring shout hits) it might be enough to keep you upright. Some of those mobs are hitting for 100k+, though, so you'd still have to go in after the tank or after the controller does their thing.
It would probably be a really effective build for anything that wasn't of ridiculously extreme difficulty. I'm not a GWF expert by any means though, so I'll leave it to others to get into serious theory crafting and such.

Well then 97% but i think you can have more then 1% from companion i hope we will got some two slot jewels from pvp and i hope one of them will mybe a defect neck cuz currently there is no deflect neck with defensive slot .
Sadly but i think those 2 % dosnt matter if you have some pres CW in your pt then GWF can still reach 100% deflect.

using 3 pets to get an extra 900 deflect is pointless. if you can get to 90% deflect chance then that is good enough in most cases, especially since those 3 pet slots can give so much more utility if you use different ones. but like you said, just because you can hit 90%+ deflect chance doesn't make it any good.
and this still won't help you when you do the initial pull since you will not have 80% DR from unstoppable since the pull is just starting. you get tankier as the fight progresses but that isn't the most important time to be tanky

To gain enugh determinaton sentinel need to build enugh recovery to use daring more freq.
Also he need to save his slam for the first encounter pressing the daly button and run toward take the first hit then daring or better use AoS on first encounter then DS .
If you can hit with DS more then 3 targets + the few hits y got you will have enugh DR to survive until y can press finaly the half unstoppable. (then you will have the dr cap)
I have one sent GWF with similar build but i have only 80 % deflect and its working on any T1 but i dont think he can survive t2 my stats are not enugh.

What does Weapon Master has anything to do with Deflection... it gives Crit chance...
I am not sure about 100%, but I have seen 70+ deflection on GWF, feats+skills+enchantments+artifacts all with +deflect, however most of those GWF have now changed their build, cus while Deflect (with Fey Thistle) is nice, there are now better options... :O

using 3 pets to get an extra 900 deflect is pointless. if you can get to 90% deflect chance then that is good enough in most cases, especially since those 3 pet slots can give so much more utility if you use different ones. but like you said, just because you can hit 90%+ deflect chance doesn't make it any good.
