Biggest monster in the game.... Lag Monster. kills me more than anything else.
followed by RNGeezus. that particular monster is very frustrating. just when i feel like i don't want to play with it anymore it drops something useful and keeps me coming back for more.
And to it BugZilla. this is one in out of limits and is everywhere here.
what really annoys me the most when i solo? it was those guys who guzzle the health potions
blue dragon knights use "invinticable" shield wall buffs are wider than my GF's wall, preventing any damages intended for other targets such as black knights and drakes, and i was pushed and pinned into the corners/in rock pockets, so i cant go sideways, it like they are "READING my mind" where i was running in a direction, and they instantly counter run "ahead" of my movements.
then how can i playing unpredictable.
even shield bushing didnt stun them as it was suppose to do.
there something not right with these mobs.

Yesterday, my husband and I would both swear that a blue dragonshield drank a potion without lowering his block. We were both very "wtf, did you see that too?"
To be clear, it's not that this made for a difficult fight. Blue gets left for last because he mostly just stands there, and if he heals then oh well. I'm just pretty sure that's not a thing that is supposed to happen.

I'm pretty sure that's just a visual glitch. You can actually hit them when they're drinking the potion, even if the shied animation is still on.

My companion aggroing the next group of bad guys before I have killed all the current group really cheeses me off!! I guess I don't die enough per mission on my own.
The combination of bugs/exploits, that seemingly are reported on the test server; but always end up making it to the live server. Which then effect all sorts of things economy, group composition, and just harmony and well being in general.
The general community is similar to any other games general community. Its the things that slip through development and QA that messes things up.
Scariest mob in this game is class inbalance...when i see it i scream like a little girl - xune.
That's beautiful. +1
Mine are predictable:
1) The slow death of the solo PvE player. Hey, I only need to break my AD piggy bank and equip rank 400 terror enchantments in every enchant slot ever, but it's totally doable, right? There's the challenge of trying out new playing styles and the adrenaline rush of winning an encounter you weren't certain you were going to, and there's dying repeatedly for no reason other than group play trumps solo in Cryptic's eyes.
2) A game with the potential to be awesome that's being pulled apart because the powers-that-be don't seem to comprehend that their net revenue depends on letting the devs get things put in place correctly, not getting it out as fast as possible but flawed and increasing operating expenses instead. Assets, not liabilities. /accounting nerd
I arrived in PE recently to the unexpected sight of Marlarkey and Shenanigans and laughed for five minutes straight. Don't take things like that away from me, Cryptic.
Basically what Fatguns and caewin above me said. This game could be so much.... more. If only the upper managers would let it be. Instead its just a flash-in-the-pan money-grab. Why? Because that is all they WANT it to be. Sad really. But, this is suppose to be light and funny right?
Okay.... so.... How about the day mod 6 rolled out? I mean really, think about it from a roleplaying perspective. One day you are the hero of Neverwinter striding any of the campaign zones and challenging anything that you can get your hands on, and HAVEING A GREAT TIME DOING IT!! Then, satisfied with the world, you go to sleep one night, so like all of the rest of the nights in your "life". You wake up the next morning, greet the day, draw your weapon, and prep you spells; striding confidently into the same zones you have for over a year. Face the first group of trash mobs..... aaannnnd.... are eviscerated like a baby white seal on a great-white-shark feeding-frenzy day.
So, thinking it was a fluke. You pop your health kit and charge back into the fray! It happens again. Only this time faster. In a single night, all of the gods, and even reality itself has turned against you for seemingly no reason! You are not the Hero of Neverwinter! You are "Chum-chutney Food for the Mob Masses!" And there isn't anything you can really do about it except start building all of your skills and entire way of life all over again. From scratch.
Yeah. I would have to say that fits into the "can't stand it more than anything else" category.
Peace out.
Telling us about upcoming content updates, and getting those updates out the door BUG-FREE, is *AWESOME*!! Know what's even *MORE* awesome? Fixing game breaking bugs (and/or undocumented "features") that have been in EXISTING content for months/years!!! Guess which one makes me want to spend money on a game much more than the other? Hint: It's the "more awesome" one.
It drives me crazy me that it took them what...2 weeks to nerf ICWD.
But it takes them forever to see that people are unhappy with what they are doing the whole mod epic fail 6.
I think this is my new record for people replying to me Oh and i forgot to mention another thing the Squishy vs. Tank situacion in Low lvl and High lvl pvp ^^BALANCE!

...well, the guy who wrote that code is still working with them, and after only two weeks also knows what he did and doesn't have to reconstruct it tracking it through all the software....
Nah. All that has to be done to install this nerf is editing of one loot table, and probably only server-side. Bugs in the system can be on any level in any of the relevant components of the game's engine, so these definitely are a wholly different dimension of complexity. Also, sometimes it's just a "+" where a "-" should be, or a ":" instead of a ";"...
...I don't envy the guy(s) hacking away at that kind of stuff.
This bug followed by this bug. Randomly taking 8-10 times normal damage through no fault of your own until you die and randomly doing two thirds your normal damage until you unslot and reslot a class feature is what's frustrating me the most atm.
The thing about this game that drives me crazy is the way they sell you more power and more powerful items. Then nerf you afterwards so you are weaker than before you bought them.
The thing about the game that drives me crazy more than anything is whining people. "Oh, this nerf screwed up the game, this is the worst nerf ever, I'm rage quitting!" ... and they do this with every change in the game.
(yes I realize not everything is perfect, but come on)
Just recently, the nerf to peridot drops in IWD got me mad.
First, Cryptic does a great thing to help players get more RP to upgrade the ever-increasing number of artifact items by giving decent RP drops for IWD HEs.
Two weeks later, they reduce the RP per hour pretty drastically.

I basically figured as much too. As we were mopping up the last few HPs on a green, we just left him do his thing.

Joking aside, do you know those guys who are standing in PE at the bank and asking to be accepted in a guild?
And then they loot it/ clean it out, cos people do not have a ranking access limits in guilds?
They annoy me to the point of violence..

The question was what drives me crazy. So yeah, that. I don't go on and on and on about it, I'm just replying to a question.
