Do you think NWO should have additional separate bag for quest items only?

    Practical value: 10/10.
    Desireability: 10/10
    Probability it'll happen: 10^-10

...though it's really a nice idea.

That would be a great QoL change, but since filling your bag as much as possible, so you are more willing to spend money on next one is common practise in most f2p mmos I dont think its gonna happen. Would be great, though. Also, I dont think pool is needed. Who on earth would vote "no" for additional space in inventory?

I already think that it's ridiculous refinement points comes in Unbound, BTC, BTA taking up 3 spaces every single type and yet our bag slots remain the same.

They should simply increase bag slots, since for us to add more bags, we have to buy them anyway.

It's one of the ideas someone brings up once in a few months since beta.

I would like as it would make a great quality of life improvement.

But given that Cryptic made the older 24 slot bags BtC "to protect us" which I am sure purely coincidentally happened at almost exactly the same time that they released new larger bags, I think the chances are near to zero.

Not to mention the laughable justification for the change in the enchanting system "to free up space" which now means we have about two dozen new items compared to what we had before. Admittedly this might simply be down to pure incompetence though.

A bag for quest items? What for? they take up 2-3 slots in your bag. I'd rather see something be done about the entire blue bag of holding required to pick up all your RP in various shapes and sizes.

RP should be on the "Currency / Riches" tab, plain and simple.

"But Nehe, RP isn't a currency..."

Not anymore it's not, now that everything has been bound in a transparent effort to coerce players out of their Zen... But let's look at what ELSE is listed as a "Currency", shall we? Medallion of Battle....bound. Coins of Waukeen.....bound. Tarmalune "TRADE" Bars....bound. Campaign currencies....all bound.

Now, let's look at the definition of currency:

    [kur-uh n-see, kuhr-]
    noun, plural currencies.
    1. something that is used as a medium of exchange; money.

As you can see, RP certainly fits the bill there. A "medium of exchange" can be construed in many a fashion, but the most prevalent is that it's used to exchange for a fun, action based game that is viable for casual players, time invested players, and paying players alike, for a monotonous game that alienates the players without vast amounts of either temporal or monetary resources and makes the sole focus one of massive accumulation of a completely unrelated item to player advancement, questing, or any deviant form of play that doesn't involve gathering RP the primary focus of logging on.

In short, RP is a currency which allows you to exchange Dungeons & Dragons for FarmVille.

So, by definition, it is certainly permissible to add it to the "Currency" tab.

It sure sucks when a quest requires you to collect 25 same items (rat tails, say) and after 10 tails the system puts the next ones in another slot bacause it decides that there will be a cap of ten, and finally you end up with the quest wasting three slots in your inventory (ten, ten, five).

I tend to work on more than 1 quest at a time. I've had 8 different stacks of quest items taking up space in my inventory. If I choose to move to another zone before completing those quests, to work on helping a friend or guildie, those quest items will continue to take up inventory space, alongside whatever quest items drop while I'm helping my friend. It can add up pretty quickly.

Pooling up DR and Shar quests over three to seven days will net you 12-15 slots blocked with quest items. And then I've not even taken a single step into Icewind Dale...

When I was doing Dread Ring dailies, it was way more efficient to pick them all up through the week and then bang them all out at once on the weekend. What you miss in repeats, you gain in less pointless running around. Lots of quest items though.

Preferred to do Well of Dragons that way as well. Get all the quests and then do them, but WoD didn't involve as many inventory items.

Sharandar is most efficiently done every 2-3 days, depending where you fall in the rotation for the mini-lair.

IWD dailies could be saved up or just done while you cruised around for heroics. It was flexible, and the rep system made it very easy to plan how many gold/tears you wanted to save up towards your next unlock. My personal favorite campaign structure.

What is the point of quest item bag? If they give us a quest item bag, I would say "just give me an extra general purpose bag" for free.

^^ This exactly! It is total nonsense. Just another means to force you to spend more dollars IMO. Another fail in the MOD6 rollout.

    Edited:

They should create a new tab in the inventory UI for quests and quest items only. Quest items should not use up inventory slots. Those should be reserved for our gear, RP etc. Having a separate tab to hold the quests/items would be the most logical and add 'at a glance' view of where one is in terms of completing the quest, how many items are still needed, etc. It would also prevent having to clear up bag slots just to accept and do the quests. Would also eliminate having to search our inventory slots for the said quest items.

There are people who actually do that? Log on, collect quests, log out? Still, you'll complete a zone at the time in the end, regardless of how many quests you have left in other areas. So it's still 2-3 slots at a time. Let's make it a round 5 for the sake of this discussion. RP however, takes up a full bag regardless of what quest you're doing. 10 minutes in any campaign area and half my bag is full. Not because I drop so much RP, but because I drop so many different RP items.

Log on, collect quests with chars A-C (D,E,...), run them with one of them. Sometimes ofc also only grabbing them - RL takes its toll on my my gaming time occasionally...

...and re. RP-tutti-frutti: I'm all on your side. Well, stacking hundreds in expectation of the 2xRP weekend apparently has to be... ...enabled/backed by donations to Cryptic? If only the limit for Shared Bank slots could get raised to, like, 64 - paid as the ones before, ofc. But then at least the BoA/unbound stuff could get taken out of the chars' system fast...

Separated bag is no for me. Separated tab is YES for me.
For me, my interpretation of "bag" is it would be counted against 5 bag limit.
For tab, it means: it is additional to the existing 4 tabs: bag, currency, profession and companion.

^ Another tab is what I think most people in this thread have in mind.

My bag space is limited: at a given time I have on average 3-4 slots available, 8 as an absolute best case scenario, 1 as the worst I allow myself to run around with. I try to put as much as I can in overflow, but it is by no means convenient (and prevent me from invoking). I'd be glad if we could get rid of quest items fom daily quests as much as possible, although I don't mind carrying around 50 sharandar keys, a set of dungeon keys and dragon hoard coffers.

Why not buy an extra bag ? I'd rather invest in wards or character slots to be honest. And it would probably get filled with the echantements I don't already stack, so I'd quickly go back to square one wrt quest items.

I run with 5 bags. Once of them gets filled with RP items every single day. I think that's a much larger problem than a few quest items. I'm not saying that a quest "bag" would be a bad thing. Just that it won't solve your inventory problems in the long run. Once you hit 70 you need maybe 3-4 slots+1 for dragon coffers. The rest gets filled with various RP.

Of course, the above is exactly why I will never get my way and the OPs suggestion might just make it. Those few extra slots won't stop people from "being forced" to buy extra bags eventually. If I got my way I could do with at least 1 bag less. There's no profit in that.

Well rp space is obviously ridiculous with 2 types of bound versions, unbound and in some cases a third bound version. Still quest items don't help. One of my characters is holding onto 12 quest items that take up space. Of course I could discard them, but it does help make things more cramped when you do have 5 bags almost completely filled. I do have 42 separate rp items though excluding bound rank 5s. That's almost 2 greater bags alone. So RP does obviously add up. One annoying thing is that I've almost filled up my bank space that I've got the max amount of storage.

Yes, separate tab for sure. This makes the most sense.
