We when they rolled out set bonuses in the first place. Ppl complained and they said they were not going to be major they were not inteded to be THE reason to own a set, just a bonus on the chance that IF you did it would benefit you.
Its pretty clear this set is OP because all the PVPers and BIS players are running it. Virtually NOONE is NOT using it if they can afford it. Which tells you that its OP...
Also a set bonus doing 10-20% of your overall damage? Thats MORE damage than most Transcendent enchants boost your damage, all from a "passive" set bonus? It nullifies any other artifact equipment which is clearly NOT what was intended.
So every PVPers run with rank10-12 enchants Soul forged and lvl 70 PVP gear so those things are OP too you want to nerf it too ?
If you slot 14 x rank 12 radiant enchant it will boost your dmg with FIXED 18% bonus dmg Thats MORE damage than most Transcendent enchants boost your damage, all from a "passive" set bonus ?
It nullifies any other enchants which is clearly NOT what was intended.
Ayroux really?
why ppl complain about anything?
On your thread i can agree with point 1.3.4. but w/o giving somthing in retourn those in 2.5. are asking for nerfs.
The priority is to make dungeons playable with rare gear .
Its not funny to die from any hit not when you have bis gear or rare gear .
Also bosses mobs have x 20-30 times more HP then in mod 5 but we dont have x20-30 more dmg .
Carefull with asking for nerfs how you want to do Tiamat w/o any set bonuses and solid dmg ???

you dont have to finish an epic endboss in less than 30 sec you know that right ?
The dmg some classes should do now would be quite in the right spot if they were to be fixed(r4 powers not working, feats not working etc), but what we got are some game breaking ( especially set bonus) mechanics which make the use of strategy and good timing obsolete.
Another thing is in dungeons the mobs hit so hard that even with 80% dr and some insane temp hp (waaaaayy over 300k) a boss can still oneshot u without warning and that with his auto attack.
i cant remember tiamat being a big boss only doable because of set bonus can you ?

Yep i know but some of them need DPS like TOS endboss VT endboss.
W/O reasonable dps you cannot finish it .
And i dont even want to talk about T2.
The only way to burn down any boss in 30sec is to have SW (using old set bonus).

tos should be doable with "current" dps if the boss does not oneshot you with some random auto poison which she spits out without any warning at all which can wipe the entire group in less than 1 sec.
Another thing with that specific boss is that she tends to move around when you try to step to left or right to avoid her attack as tank which makes her even more annoying because she runs to her big even more annoying spider friends shooting laser beams at you .
So every PVPers run with rank10-12 enchants Soul forged and lvl 70 PVP gear so those things are OP too you want to nerf it too ?

Yes but the avg player can get rank 8-10 easily thus the real "advantage" you have over that person is minimal if you are rank 12s and he is rank 10s.
Also, again, the set bonuses were not MEANT to be big, this was specifically stated in a DEV post when people complained about set bonuses. Thus making them AS powerful as a Trans enchant is CLEARLY not what was intended.
Its also VERY clear this isnt WAI when other set bonuses are nowhere near this strong. I have the set dude, so its not some player who doesnt have this complaining about it.
I agree with you the TOP priority is managing PVE dungeons. This is why in my "5 things thread" it was #1.
The DC daily bug and the ELOL set were 2 and 3 because they have a BIG impact in the ability to run these dungeons.
DCs infinite daily or the ELOL HR bug make PVE laughable.
Knife's Edge for TRs- cant even debate this its clearly not WAI and broken as heck allowing TRS to "tank" and not die esp combined with DC infinite daily...
Bloodtheft? Thats just a PVP issue really making it not fun for anyone. And yes, I have this too.

There is no justification for the level of overpowered this set bonus is, clearly it was meant to have an ICD, adding that would be a good start...
I agree. I actually think it was just never meant to benefit from damage bonuses. However making that change basically makes the set only good for TR and CW who get special 100% crit scenarios.
Hence why I think an ICD instead is much more reasonable given that any class with reasonable crit can get a process within around 5 seconds with decent crit making crit heAvy classes much less at an advantage.
I won't share the bug. If you don't know sorry. Not going to spread it more and an ICD on the LM set will fix it anyways so its a moot point.

sounds like TR can just shireken ppl to death, yet nowhere to be found!
The description advertised by the set says it does an additional hit on critical hits.
Not one person in this thread verified that it did indeed do an additional hit. Not one of you.
And yet this thread is all about nerfing something that not one of the posters really knows anything about. Not one of you can say exactly what the set does, when it does whatever, or why it does whatever it does.
If it did what the description says it does the cry baby pvp'ers would make it front page news that some Gloaming Cut TR was getting a free swing with every hit. Or worse, a TR with Lostmauth's set killed a cry baby pvp'er by getting an extra Lashing Blade hit each time he used it.
Stealthed Gloaming Cut crits 100% of the time, and stealthed Lashing Blade crits 100% of the time, and neither of them get an additional hit.
There is no 'proc' about it, just as there is no such thing as 43bill k DMG. What the heck is bill k? Bill k, lol, what a joke.

I wish I could sell you my set, it does nothing.
if your set is doning nothin now... that it is normal... if it was doing nothing before the patch... than you really was doing something really wrong... reason for that is that LM did not do "one additional hit for the same damage of the normal hit" it was doing an additional hit for "weapon damage" on every crit... and if you were able to land several crit in the same second it often bugged hitting way more time than the number of critical hit landed (that was the core of the HR exploit, toghether with lost mouth set damage not counting as done by the HR himslef and so triggering one of his skill that deal damage every time the target is hit by someonelese, creating a sort of loop that discharged the 20 hit from the skill in a single second and causing the above mentioned bug...)... aside from this bug there is one more thing that many classes were ably to make use of and turned the LM set into a game breaking one, that is the fact that the damage is not simply "weapon damage" but is affected by damage multiplier... especially those that are target specific (like chilling presence for example) those buff greately increased the damage of LM and I myself have seen that set hit for 40k +... and that with a fire rating that would make a machingun feel slow ^^'. On top of all this, the LM procchin out of crit was a 100% crit itself (yes... I know that sometime ACT report a crit chance of not 100%... but that is also a bug of act or the log itself since it also do that with CW stormspell even during the 7 second autocrit of EotS ) thus activating effect on crit twice per crit scored (or doing double check for "on crit" proc like CW SS)
So yes... the set was actualy doing crezy damage also there is plenty of log screen in both this and other treads... how can you say that nobody knows how it works.. surely there are those that cry without knowing why they should cry but there are plenty of people that have actualy tested it and reported something that is (or better say was) really broken... NOW LM is doing what almost every other set does, giving a little PLUS and not being something you build your character around
PPS: about the bill k damage... well it was abviously an exageration and didn't really take a lot to understand it... but millions of damage... no that wasn't an exageration... I tested the HR bug myself and I actuall scored 70 milion damage with just 3 hit on a t2 boss ^^' I can say the damage for sure because I entered the boss room with 12 mil damage done and after the first try where we wiped pretty fast I was at 82 mil ^^' and I only stroke the boss 3 times ^^' ... now guess where those damage come from? a hint my highest hit from skill is a 50k under plenty of buff/debuff... and I didn't used that specific skil in that fight
Oh FFS, the real bugs been patched already. Its a good set for DPS classes and everyone can use it. So nothing "OP" here.
I'm sure that if the belt stats were Int+Wis/Char we'd be hearing much much less QQ about it.

yep only reason ppl want to nerf it is lack of int/win/char this only good set str focused classes have atm
yep only reason ppl want to nerf it is lack of int/win/char this only good set str focused classes have atm
I'm an HR, str/dex should be a good set for me (well actualy wis would be better but we can't have all we want ^^')... I also have a crit intensive build, proc on crit should be good for me... yet a CW gain much more than me from LM... and it is not just for the 7 seconds of autocrit (really... if you think that is the best thing CW can do than you have no idea where those CW dealing tons of damage come from...)...
now... with the frist fix HR lost its esploit (and that is good... because it was really a silly thing -_-') CW has lost a littel out of the LM (they weren't able to exploit as much as HR but were still able to get a large amount of hit per second resulting in the LM bugging out a bit too)... other classes have lost a little too... but it still stand that one of the class that take the most out of LM is not a dex/str class at all ^^'
so no... they are not aiming at it because it is a STR/dex set... but because it really is the best dps set out there regardless of class/build ^^' and by large...
Or that for some people it deals more than 20% of their damage.
Or that it is so good that even wizards benefit from it more than any other set.
It the best set for DPS classes. Which classes are supposed to be DPS in neverwinter? TR, HR, GWF and SW. Last time I checked CWs were supposed to be CCers first, everything else later.
Now which classes benefit from str+dex and have high crits? That's right TR, HR and GWF. (SW is a broken class at the moment and I'm not sure it has high crit anyway, so lets leave this one)
Or that for some people it deals more than 20% of their damage.
Or that it is so good that even wizards benefit from it more than any other set.
wizards got other great set valindra set (15%better cc and 10% cc resist from it) and this is far more op then some 10%+dps set for classes who lacked a lot of dps anyway
Yeah it needs a "safety" to not trigger off some of the other broken feats/debuffs.
...
If it was changed over to just a 25% chance to proc with an ICD so it cant multiproc it would be pretty balanced IMO.
At some point it need ICD. it proc ok on dots like aimed strike - only if base power is crit then it will proc.
It is all bounded to how often you can crit. Hr really don't 50%+ or 100% crit chances as class mechanics that other classes have. so problem is at some point in 'always' crit classes too.
Hr still have pretty questionable Gushing wond/longstrider shot - but this whole power is broken by design. And they seem to fix mulpiproc.
It also proc sometimes on plague fire or any other dot enchant if it crit. Not class specif either. So generally icd for 1 sec is a right thing. Pretty much only abuse classes are against it.
1 sec icd won't really effect other classes that much as it will effect trs or CWs. Also this will solve proc on dot when it should not be - as it was with gushing ( again it is broken by design - it does low damage but just dumps dot very fast).
We had run last night in elol after patch fixed multiproc - 1st place TR with set (x3 damage), 2nd place - CW with set(x2) damage, 3rd place HR with set.(x1). By act log TR and CW had over 50% damage from set itself.
because theres no way that set is doing 50% of their damage unless its some kinda of new bug/glitch, come one it only procs if u crit and it does weapon damage how can a CW get 50% of hes total damage from that set? when he has stormspell/OF/ice knife and so many other skills that hit way harder then all of its procs combine? i wanna see logs or i call BS.
