The times where the Dom team I was working with, won, I was in the top 3 in points. These are not randomly allocated points, but points which were earned by running back and forth, getting killed 2x as much as I killed. I have battled vs many TRs who did not choose to play the way that I do... I do not fault them for their mission to kill more than die. But is it really helping the team when you have 12 kills and round 2k points, as much as having ~ 4k and 3 or 4 kills.
As with MMOs, and this is especially visible in PvP... "I am the only thing that matters, **** the rest of you." mindset.
I have been told that I was a horrible player and I needed to deactivate my account... because someone deemed my playing style not helpful. When the totals came up at the end of the match... I was #2 in the standings and he was #7. I kept telling him during the match to stop whinging and play.
There is not one team that can win without the help of each member playing their roles. As someone has said... it is capture the flag. How do you win capture the flag?
Atwil "At" - Tiefling TR / Saardush - Black Dragonborn GWF / White - Tiefling OP
...and you've just gone from critical to plain pathetic.
You used to be a one of the few GWF players that actually were reasonable enough to talk to and make conversation. Now, just because your favorite has been neglected for a couple of mods, just like that, you go join the ranks of knee-jerk TR lynch-mob with their pitchforks and noose, blaming their own misfortunes on other classes and its players. As if us, and our own favorite class, is the reason behind your own favorite is being bum-puckered by the devs. By that frickin' same logic you should have quit playing your own pathetically OP, easy-mode, faceroll of a FOTM class during mod2 days. Except you never did.
Such a shame.
Talking about pathetic: i didn't write anything of the above, you came out with stuff on your own. All i wrote is, as simple as it is, that i quite prefer to lose a balanced match than winning one cause one class is OP. It goes for any OP class, now, in the past, in the future. Was specifically replying to the pathetic posts where some TR players said pretty much that if they make their team win thanks to the backcapping capabilities of current TR, all the other players should say "thank you". Would be pretty much as if during module 2 a GWF tank would say that if he would go enemy base and fight 4v1 making his team win, all his mates should thank him. I would reply the very same way if a mod2 GWF would say so.
Why? Nonsense.
About what you wrote above, i never wrote that stuff so everything right back at you: pathetic reply based on nothing. Expecially considering how there are literally 0 "nerf" threads opened by me and any TR related reply i made just pointed out few self-explaining issues such as oneshotting SE on GWFs and SWs, and i didn't even ask for SE nerf but for SW/GWF to have working mitigating/ dodging tools so it does not result in a "press 1 to kill the SW/GWF.
Also, in reality i quit playing for 2-3 months exactly in between module 2 and module 3. I came back right before module 4 launch and barely completed the IWD campaign in time. And during module 2 i never went sentinel OP tank build with tenes but kept playing hybrid DPS builds. Just like in module 4-5 i never used the OP intimidation build. I don't like cheesy stuff and never used cheesy builds.
Now, you can delete your pathetic raging post about stuff that was in your head and was never written or supported by me, and next time may be read carefully and just in case, ask for explanations if you struggle grasping the meaning of someone's post.
As a Neverwinter player since beta ( maining a GWF but it doesnt really matter which class here ) I can say the above rings painfully true. We are always hyper protective of our favourites and super critical, borderline hateful towards the rest. This kind of attitude certainly plays a big role in the current class imbalance we are all "enjoying".
Having said that I doubt there is even 1 person on these or any other forums who is capable of saying it straight without an ounce of bias. We are human after all
My dear dude, during module 2 and when i came back at the end of module 3, me, ayroux and other GWFs posted COUNTLESS of self-nerf requests and changes to make to the GWF class to bring it back to normal.
Posts are there and some old users will remember them well. Sadly, the devs listened to whiners and over-nerfed the class.
I am also quite happy with GWF destroyer right now and enjoying it even if it's overpowered by other classes and waiting the next patch improvements to see how they work.
Another thing: the dear mirrorballs might pretend to know what i did in module 2, but he doesn't. In fact, during module 2 i never went sentinel tank build. I tested multiple DPS builds, and ended up with a DPS hybrid build most of the module. Never used tenebrous, but tier 1 PvP gear and the old good offensive-defensive stats balance to get a mix of normal DPS and survivability.
And didn't go intimidation during module 4/5 even if i could respec and adjust gear towards that build. I tested instigator the whole time pretty much, then destroyer.
You guys know nothing and should stop to act as if you know what people want or what people did.

Is all this why you "main" a $40 frog instigator? News flash Mr. Beta, instigator has not been viable since nwo started, no wonder devs ignored your input, you have no idea what you're doing/talking about.

And here we have another smart reply.
Dear dude, you may have hear of players testing stuff. You know, some players like to use their brain and not go with the new FOTM build that exploits some broken mechanic. Fact is, instigator got a buff and i wanted to test if there was a way to make it viable or make some sinergies stronger. I like to test stuff, not just go for powah brainless job somebody else did. I like testing stuff and try new routes rather then going straight for the builds i know will work. As i said, later i went destro cause it works better and suits my game style.
Just to make it clear, i also discovered on my own the later intimidation build and posted on GWF section about how my tests went.
But i'm sure the guys who buy their gear with $ and then go for the latest FOTM build know better than me.
You're free to come test my "noobness" in game, the nick of my toon is in my signature and the @ is my forum nick (@pando83).

You're aware you're a <font color="orange">HAMSTER</font> GWF and (formerly) PVP kicker right?
I have respect and like all GWF's in this game as comrades, but you.... Not only you're bad but you have no honor.
funny story, today my teammates insulted me because i was backcapping. end of the game, we won i pretty much did all the job but all i got was insults because i backcap

You have my respects Pando, these guys doesnt know what it takes to stay away from being overpowered and playing fair, it takes a lot of courage to do that to say the least. I am glad you are still with GWF community Ilook forward to reading more quality posts from you
I play both a TR and GF so i understand the pvp mechanics recommended between the classes. Problem is, there are so many people in this game that do not understand team work. In dungeons, in pvp, in skirmishes. They play all for 1 and that it, which of course is gonna end up making the team as a whole lose. Sadly there are alot of people who jumped on the tr bandwagon, but have no clue how to play them well, in any situation not just pvp.
I've only had a TR since the start of the year and although thats not long, in dungeons, skirmishes etc i'm still managing extreme damage whilst surviving fairly well. Then I see others who do half the damage, die a million times and don't even get into the upper half for damage taken and wonder what the hell they are doing xD Its the same in pvp sadly and its giving the rest of us an even worse name.

It's funny because TRs have been dedicated backcappers since as long as I can remember.
And I'm willing to bet this guy never thanked a TR in Mod 4.
Broken mechanics, broken class designs, lack of actual content, and over zealous, bronze-age moderation?
For all I know I was in full ****** rage over a non-back capping TR that I f'd up the thread title. I just remember seeing something else when I hit the post button. I did not expect this thread to go on so long or get so lolugly.

The funny thing I find about TR is, most of them dont know what teamwork is, and in my experience, generally the worst compare to most other classes.
One of the most common and the funniest scenario is... when TR tries to compete a node, I would run to them, they could bring me down to 20~30% life, then I would leave the node to run for the health pot... instead of standing on the cap to cap our node, a GOOD NUMBER of them would just choose to come after me and leave our node back to safety again lolololol and nope, 95% of them failed to kill me, for those that have came across me in the battlefield, you know I run a battlefury build, so... I continue to lol at them

Lolololol this is too much real life. People judge GWF's as being "dumb", but most are actually more strategic than you think. I love it when the dumbass kill-hungry TR's just chase me.
I kid you not I've had a TR chase me around for about 5 minutes (Costing his team 300 points,I slotted Battle Fury as well), and he didn't even kill me lol. His Shocking Execution(s) almost did though. He was getting frustrated and kept trying to get me, costing his team the win.
Here is the single worst thing about dom pvp at the moment. There is idiot fail pugs and overgeared premades and no in between. If you que solo you will be lucky to get decent players on your team. If you que as a group you are most likely going to run into a guild premade.
I don't mind undergeared pugs if they have some pvp gear, some level appropriate gear and are trying. Everyone has to start somewhere. But when you nicely tell that tr to back cap. When there are two trs and neither back caps. When you are the back capping tr and the rest of the team isn't even dying on node. It is infuriating.
I say idiot pugs not because I think they lack the ability to learn: aka intelligence. I say idiotic in the classic sense of "stupid". Stupid as in capable of learning but choosing not to.
There are some real ******bags in the pvp community as there are in any community. But before a player comes to the conclusion that the pvp community as a whole is one giant pit of ****** baggery, the player needs to realize that he is probably just stupid in the above sense and is receiving the well deserved ire of players who actually want to win.

These are "kill-focused" TRs, that see no actual value in capping beyond that people will come to them if they try to cap. Most TRs will follow because they smell blood.
I don't chase anyone off of the platform. I will throw some CoS at them, or if I have VP trayed up I will use that, and watch them bleed out. I will not chase anyone to lose a cap. I will let the others kill.

Why even chase a kill! It's way more fun to camp a back node, smash a cocky [insert class] in the face... sit back relax while he runs to the potion. He's bound to come back so you just repeat the process. Yes, I'm lazy like that. But hey, I got the node!
