Glad you showed up. In the midst of what seems to be a universal buff (minus sw and gwf), the hate is strong against TR's.

The irony being none of our own "self-nerf" suggestions have made it through to the devs.

Instead of taking in suggestions that could have toned back all three paths equally to manageable levels, the devs chose to nerf the hell out of the least threatening brand of TRs, while the true monsters of the TR stock got off scot-free and unscathed.

...for what? For a handful of gimmicky, useless powers which don't even work well enough half the time? I'm saving every power point after 60 because I honestly don't have anywhere to spend it on. Trash of class features, trash of new encounters. Insufferable, useless to the core, both in PvP and PvE.

So yes, let's count what has happened so far.

    1. The deadliest of all TRs are even more deadlier, none of the balance problems they cause are fixed
    2. The least deadly of all TRs are castrated as the devs grabbed on to their balls and just tore it out
    3. The new class features and encounters are heaps of trash
    4. ...and thus, clueless people still bashing ALL TRs and its players in blanket-statements like they always used to.

Such a lovely change. I feel all fresh.

In all seriousness- other classes are coming up strong. This is definitely not the time to be nerfing TR's at all. Level 70 and 100+k hitpoints being normal, TR's are going to be fighting for survival in pvp.

Also, I am not sure how much people are taking into consideration how the super high hitpoints are an indirect nerf to every strong burst class. Maybe that needed to happen, but we shouldnt let that little slice of game 60-69 influence our opinions on class balance.

Even people who really think TR's need nerfed....you gotta realize you are not playing "real" end game pvp yet. That won't happen till 70. No one really has any reasonable grounds to be calling for anything at this point. It is no better than using the 30-39 bracket as a metric to say things need to change or a class needs nerfed.

I might be driven back to MI eventually, although I loathe ITC. I have to test and see if Disheartening Strike works with no combat regeneration. If anyone has had a chance to see it at 70, please fill me in. Otherwise I'll find out myself, soon enough.

I have friends who main level 70 TR's simply quit the game because they feel forced to MI, which they loathe. "I won't stoop to that". Good people I will miss. When content and mechanics change in a game it is a matter of adjustment. When your friends start quitting, that is something irreplaceable and more than anything else gives you pause to reflect if there is still a place in the game for yourself. "Ok so you are quitting, what game are you going to". People tend to move in groups like that.

    Meh.

ITC-dependant MIs are easy mode. They were the easy-mode since day1, and they'll remain the easy-mode 'til the end of this game. No, I am not dissing some of the superior TR players who use MIs -- since they're probably superior in whatever class, whatever paragon the play. But sure as hell don't change the fact that MIs are easy-mode.

Call it "self-gimping" or whatever they wanna call it. Some will probably say we're just using inferior builds to use as an excuse. Maybe that's true. But who cares. ITC spamming just ain't fun.

Whew, TRs have gone from decent, to trash, to OP, and yet the only thing anyone's been saying since Mod 5 launch is "OMG TR IS SO OP UNSKILLED **** CLASS".

Yet CW has never left the top of the totem pole for anything. PvP or PvE, CW has always been up there. Yet everyone cries about TRs...
Not sure what's harder, counter-playing a babygen TR using staple rotations or trying not to get one-shotted by Icy Rays.
Broken mechanics, broken class designs, lack of actual content, and over zealous, bronze-age moderation?

Wizards are flat out broken again, more so than even Rogues. Btw, Warlocks do some crazy things as well now. Like that copy/paste choke hold and some insane dot damage that can get you from full to 0 in seconds. Cryptic released a mess of a mod and they know it. Maybe the first big patch will address most of the glaring issues. I dont have high expectations tho.

50k Disintegrate hurts, its only 30k after DR with the new pvp set but that's only a single move in the rotation SS and its 17k procs :(. Warlocks I haven't had much issue with.

No more "one shot" from TR in pvp 70 if you have pvp gear : big hp pool + Arp. resistance + Tenacity. Even the Execution can't One shot a 110k+ hp guy.

110k+? How many such guys are there? Average 70lvl person has 70-90k HP, SE easily hits for over 90k.

    Yea, CWs are broken.
However, that won't stop the flood of "OMG TRS ARE OP NERF PLS" threads around here.
Not until TR is nerfed into the ground. Again.
Then they'll cycle through every class until CW is the only one viable for DPS in anything.
    Again.

    A lot of 100k+ in pvp 70.

90-110k GWF, 100-150k GF... but damages divided by 2 and crit damages divided by 3 cause of 40% tenacity.

    MOD 6 (CURRENT) 04/14/15 PST
I ran my test with my LVL 70 TR MI Executioner (glass cannon)
with Oppressive Darkness rank 4 (should be over 30% bonus) class feature.
And my weapons I've refined a bit now vs yesterday when I got them & my gears.
    image.png
My gear consisted of - New green Artifact weapon set on :( no Greater Vorpal on; I had my lvl 70 PVP set Burning Executioner with mostly rank 7's some 8's, some lesser dragon hoards on & 2 x Greater Red Dragon Glyph. Blue Iuoun Stone with some HP/Power & CS on it nothing super fancy lvl 70 greens I think..... Artifact 1 purple (rank 65) lantern, 2 blue (rank 58) vanguard banner, 3 blue (rank 51) sigil of hunter, 4 blue (rank 51) raven skull. Dom shirt, pant, ring set.

My log's of various powers during my test of the NEW class feature which is garbage for my build. I stopped using it after.
*I did start using Skillful Infiltrator, it was bugged at least with my char's build on mod 5 but it is working again*

Running test in Aria/Zone 1 of Spinward Rise.
I highlighted the first few Oppressive Darkness dmg. I'm pretty sure it should be 40% as I have rank 4 of the class feature which you can only do rank 4 on paragon powers/features or on new class features once you've reached lvl 70 & spent the required points. ITC I could have if I wanted made rank 4 +1s buff x 3 + orig. buff time. But I didn't because I wanted to try the new stuff out & honestly I dont use ITC much. I don't expliot on stuff unlike some ppl.. Here's the logs.

I die pretty often too unless I use bait n switch, shadowstrike, etc which I don't like to do as I want to dps not play hide n seek. Its sad my old set I can do more dmg but die even quicker. lol

Lastly THE new OP class is pally & ? but not TR

gave up on these devs. most clueless in gaming. tr are the class for their kids. end of. they don't care about fixing it. really really poor. such a shame. i love the combat in this game, the balance is awful and classes make no sense (way to many immunes, stupid dmg, my Hr has twice the cc of my Cw...makes no sense). tbh i hope this mod tanks the game os hard that they HAVE to do soemthing.

trs need amount of time in invis and immune nerfs. its just stump dumb game design and promotes awful gameplay for ALL classes. im ok with trs having high damage, kinda what they should do. but the devs will never fix this game pvpwise. that have shown over and over that simply don't care.

cw have great dmg yeah. but their cc sux again and with so many classes having immunes its a joke. a GF can face tank a cw then smash him. Hr has better cc than CONTROL wizard. say that out loud. it feels wrong huh? i don't want to be just damage. i would be fine with Cw damage nerfs. but my ccs should actually work, not last 0.2 sec or trs/gwf/gf being immune to everythig i do. its just dumb. really my hr is better def, dmg and cc tham my cw in pvp. its stupid. end of the day unless you are some diehard fanboi trs need nerf. to much of everything.

thats totally untrue. cw were not good in pvp in mod 2 or 3. pve sure. but not pvp. we were gods in mod4 and good in mod 5. this mod seems bad so far for cw.

Not sure what's harder, counter-playing a babygen TR using staple rotations or trying not to get one-shotted by Icy Rays.
not true. cw was not good in pvp in mod and mod 3. gods in mod 4. ok in 5. seems bad so far this mod. pve sure, but not pvp.

I don't know what mod 6 was meant to bring but it really is a let down. I was expecting tr's to get that dps/piercing damage nerfed down, but noooo it's now better than ever, and you what's worst they now perma+dps :D.

Have you played a TR in Mod 5? Then have you played a TR in Mod 6? If not... NONE of you know about all of the bugs in the TR Feat trees. I know a SW that has done a 4.7 million health crit. The highest I have ever heard from a TR is just over 100k. I have read about equal output from every other class.
Here is the major difference... based on the builds... a TR is the squishiest toon on the field. Therefore we have stealth. We cannot hide in a tin can, AS or Shield.
Trust me, I have hit every class with a crit LB and watched nothing happen to that toon. You hit a TR... and they take damage.

My suggestion is for you to quit whinging and accept that not everything is as you see it. Walk a mile in a TR's shoes, before you talk smack about nerfing. That goes for everyone who starts crying that they got killed. Big deal... we all get killed. This is a game about death and survival... well that and refining.

Are you ****ing serious here? You have high mobility, 4(!) consecutive dodges, 75% deflect severity, one of the highest deflect rates, dazes, ITC, bloodbath, stealth and on top of that huge damage and 100% crit rate from stealth. So please, stop ****ting us with your "squishy TRs".

Yea, the most squish class in the game has 20K/D ratio... oh wait is something wrong...?

The problem is, Rogue with Perm Stealth is NOT Squishy at all, but regardless they have HUGE DPS on top of that too.
There is no other class in the game that has such defense (perm stealth) and such high DPS (which other class can oneshot players like TRs?)

I think it would be fair if they get one or another, but having BOTH is just wrong....

PS: I dont even wanna mention the smoke bomb and dishearting strike... :\
