Well there will be Module 6 launched next Tuesday and there are still TONS of various bugs, non-working stuff and unsolved stuff. Also there are too much questions, anger and disgruntlement from NWO community. For many of us will be Module 6 important breakpoint for decision if we stay or not.
If the M6 launch should be successful, upcomming Friday´s patch notes should take atleast five pages of fixes and improvements.
So there is a question if everything will be ready for clean start or if the start of M6 will be delayed again OR "force-launched" with unfinished and unresolved stuff.
I still prefer clean start even with another delay.
Well clearly they have kept MOST of what is being worked on "under wraps" since the last 3+ weeks of patch notes have been meaningless on the grand scale - only small changes here and there.
I may be mistaken, but if I remember correctly they haven't updated Preview server the Friday before launch on the last few mods. At least I don't recall ever seeing updated patch notes the Friday before launch, this time may be different.
I'm personally going to presume no more Preview test server updates this week as the Devs turn their noses real hard against the grindstone; they wouldn't have time to actually really read, much less: follow-up on any feedback that might come this week. meaning that if they do actually push a new update it would more or less be as a courtesy to players for no reason other that the love from the bottom of of their blessed little hearts.
Just a thought; suspicion; guess. I only know as much as anyone else. In short: you'd be wise to not hold your breath. Better to presume that at this time no new updates will be forthcoming until actual launch.
Im cautiously optimistic. But I now see many plausible reasons they pushed back the release date. Most were CYOA (no, not choose your own adventure) reasons, but ehh gotta do what you gotta do.

I remember IWD on preview getting patched not only the previous Friday but also late afternoon the day before release. The reason I remember this was the patch for the day before release had an issue that required the devs to get back to the office to correct concerning Black Ice that I discovered.
As far as preview patch notes goes my experience is that unless it concern classes, balance, or items, it is not included for the most part. Changes take place that are never mentioned in the patch notes. Also generally whenever the client downloads something it means something has changed notwithstanding certain downloads for events and festivals.
I really hope a long patch note that Friday, however one important thing is that after this next patch note will not have time to fix things that we will see before the official release. And as mentioned .. from to make a very large list bugs.
I still prefer clean start even with another delay. [2]
With all the bugs and not working things, I would prefere a long patchnote this week or push the mod6 release another month. Hopefully they have been working on a larger build the last 2-4 weeks and thats the reason for minimal patches the last few weeks.

They can't. There's a new lockbox to release and a new pack to sell, along with various new pets and mounts. You can be sure that ready or not, playable or not, the patch will be out when the countdown hits 0.

Yeah I know, what I wrote was more of an "wishful thinking", not something I belive would happen.

I bet there is no patch this Friday or if there is its VERY minimal. I doubt the would release the whole module 3 days before it goes live for "testing" - we all know they dont have time to even read the forums right now anyways. Probably thinking "OH SH*T we probably should stop goofing off and actually get work done" - you know, just like you felt in college the night before the final?
Once again I am gonna refer to IWD preview...there were a lot of fixes that appeared out of no where in the last week prior to launch, I wanna say lots of it was listed in the patch notes, but it might of been the really major things. If I remember correctly that patch was not big in download but covered a huge amount of things. Remember they do 2 different types of patches. We get client side patches, while they also do server side patching, so the size of the patch does not necessarily reflect the actual changes.
With that said, when the servers go down you can copy most every thing from the playtest folder to the live folder and save on the download.
I guess since I have been through this several times with NWO I can afford to take a long sight to it, and wait and see. Yes there will be issues when it goes lives. No game releases new content with out that happening. I am just gonna brace myself, get a bottle of booze and just roll with the issues.
Too bad I have not been able to be on preview much this go round, moving issues and then PC basically went splat. Hopefully I will have the new GPU this coming Tuesday....too bad if I do it will be late afternoon.
So, cryptic Should Not release any kind of patch notes/ nothing until the official release date.
Because it's already too late for doing serious changes And people will find always something to Complain about!
We should trying to give cryptic a chance for doing theier work, as they have planned.
<::::::[]==0 GwF 0==[]::::::> ● Still waiting for the promised Improvement ●
Crush replied to my PM today and I got good news. The build they have currently on Preview is far from the complete version they have been testing internally. They just didnt have time to implement it all on Preview since they are still finishing up some things. He said that every bit of feedback we gave has been collected, assessed and taken into consideration. As a result once mod 6 is LIVE we will see a vast improvement on all that is Neverwinter starting with classes!
- Total overhaul of GWFs in accordance with player feedback
- Total overhaul of SWs in accordance with player feedback
- no more broken TRs
- no more swiss army knife CWs
- Paladins who dont bring shame to the name
- DCs who are..well not much will change there
- HRs who are also pretty much the same minus the perma rooting
- GFs who dont get 1shot by trash mobs in dungeons
While i was shopping groceries this morning in my hometown in Germany i met Crush (no **** - how i recognized him? He recognized me!).
He told me everything will be fine next week. He then went into his self driving Crush - mobile and if i am not completely mistaken he was fixing the last 2 minor bugs on the drive!!
Hey I've heard from some reliable sources that they're just skipping mod 6 altogether and we're going to be getting mod 7 next week!
ok bad april fools jokes aside i'm pretty sure we're going to be getting just this on Friday:
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
and then this on Monday:
:(:(:(

I think the most likely scenario is that it will go live but with significant chunks missing or disabled and then get "fixed" over the following month or so. I guess delaying it again is possible but extremely unlikely.
And, or course, the doomsday scenario is that it just doesn't happen and that they focus on the shiny new XBox version and on developing a completely new game.

I hope they are long, with lots of details!
