1 - mark should be a "secundary machanical" of the class if you have more and better options to use that (in fact, gwf take time to can use that). is just a m4 "mea culpa" after hard nerfs inspirated by trolls feedbacks.
dont compare the gwf mark to a solid mechanical like chill (ba dum tss)...
2 - instigators and now sentinels is a just a mess. no point to delay some perfomance to sustain some internal balance.
3 - about secundary mechanicals ideas, all weeks i give one. my favorite (a little impossible today) is add casting bars in some encounters of the class and str/some feats can do that casting bars more fast or give more dr during casting. seens a good whay to give "block" to sentinels, better damage to destroyers and turn the low base damages/reaping strike more interesting (i love rp).

We have reaping strike, not working so well. basicly worst at-will ever ^^'
And well, u dont need to chose CA build after all, dont u? Evry pvp sent would agree with me (they dont even take CA into account i guess, since first usualy is CAGI and then Daring, at least that what i saw) but that pvp build. Chill mechanic is nothing solid, its a resultant from natural cw mechanic which is control, I was speaking about something else, cw can incrase his dmg drasticly by using feat Chilling presence, and that is his secondary mechanic, not chill itself. Chill is a part of his primary mechanic - control. And again, u dont need to chose chilling presence as feat, u can go with somehing else, just like u dont need to build ur gwf around CA, but it wont be the best choice. U need to notice and accept that marking was given to us as a tool to inscrase our dmg. Again i would like to get flat 40% dmg boost instead, but better this, than nothing.:)
Beside that, getting CA is easyest thing gwf can make, basicly 1 enouncter/at-will use. We have worse mechanics (all this stacking) dont we? Lets focus on this.
Imo inst is not so bad in mod6 , tho both capstones, inst and sent, need to be reworked and buffed.
that is the point; i dont have anything against mark grant ca, I have against gwf be dependent to recycled mechanics over a HAMSTER base damage.
Furthermore, bf is the original boost encounter damage. instigators are a tree that originally gives ca bonus. if bf give a "mark aura" - like ibs execution - over the own buff, i will be happy. instigators, again, is just a mess.
ps:if you have a way to turn the rp casting more fast (like that idea or, now dont make diference, damage taken fill the bar) so that will be good atwill. the most easy thing is do a omelette to the problems of that class.
I THINK 1 month after the release of mod 6 with the new gear equipped people will rush through the content with similar speed as they do now...
Hard to tell, new sets r good, but nothing so good in them, that it will turn the tables.
And well, destro gwf is kinda a close range glass canon now, but sent or insta r even worse, a bit more prones or some bit more resist in sacrafise of 40% dmg and x10 faster determination gain is just a pure loss. what the point of sent being, i dont know 1.4 tanker than destro, if he is killing stuff 5 times longer and gets determination 10 times slower, and u need to losee big part of hp for that? xD
Imo sent should get determination from both dmg taken and sold or get x5 determination more from taken dmg (that would be a huge bost, 1 hit on u for 5k and u r full) than destro does, also determination should grand 100% deflect chance +10% dev sev, then we would be a bit worse tanks as gf (coz of lack of buffs)but a viable option.
Also i cant tell much about inst, some think it will be good for pvp now, i never liked this tree, tested like two times and stoped, not for me i guess.
I've tried to do some stuff on the campaign maps with a fresh copy of my live character (which is a semi-retired old cleric, 16-17k only), and it was nowhere near hard. I did have to switch a couple of powers and class features, to use something more appropriate and a bit more defensive, and it was still a walk in the park. The open world maps are still very easy even for a lvl 60 character with a random T2 set. Anyone saying doom is coming clearly didn't test the new module at all and is ****ting in his pants because there are a couple of terrible players predicting the death of the game if cryptic dares bringing back some challenge in the game. And it's just that, currently: some challenge. Hard mode has yet to be implemented.
This forum is for people who did actual testing, not for people willing to scream about how hard it is in their heads. You will adapt. Your characters have 20+ spells. You're not stuck with the same old build for the rest of the game's life. You're humans! You have a brain and you can learn new stuff. Use it!

From what I've gathered, the hard bit comes when you try and do the lvl 70 campaign areas not with a fresh copy of your lvl 60 toon that will be boosted to lvl 70 upon entry to the campaign zone, but with a character you've actually levelled to 70 on preview and have taken the appropriate hit from the renewed stat curves.
They seem to be a mixed bag these areas. After spending an evening puttering around on ptr I find Sharandar and Dread Ring to be rather comfortable. IWD and the well? Well if you stay out of the HE's quite manageable. Inside the HE's getting hit at all meant spending quality time by the camp fire. Altogether needs some toning, but not quite bad enough to fear they won't get where they want with it.
Hahahaha this shows that what matters is the skill and expertise of one and not the Gs or item level XD.
As Hr fighter I've always been, I have not break my head XD, it is time that the Trapper, who had easy, suffers a little no?
Do not mourn because of the difficulty, Dark Soul is harder than this, and nobody complains

No one is able to access the endgame purple gear currently. Why would it be easy with green lvl 65-ish gear? If it's easy for fresh lvl 70 characters with greens, there's no point increasing the level cap, because it will be the same old super easy and boring stuff and mobs dying with one or two spells, and that's pointless. lvl 70 is an opportunity for the devs to press the "reset" button to make endgame content compelling and relevant again. If it's too easy that's easily one year worth of work they flush into the toilets.
The truth is: current endgame content is designed around the needs of characters wearing green gear, including dungeons. But when you inspect other people's characters, they're all wearing purples. Thus endgame is dull for everyone. That's why building content around the fact that people are going to wear purple makes sense.
And if your argument is "but people won't be able to acquire purple gear", let me tell you they'll find a way, as usual, through partial runs, via crafting, playing the easiest endgame dungeon (like PK currently), via pvp or whatever. As everyone did during the beta. The game wasn't easy, yet everyone got some decent gear at some point.
Reviewed all the videos, and frankly speaking, with no intention of disrespect, I must point out it basically shows all the problems with the current PvE build/tactics trend which have been so common with basically anyone that doesn't play PvP as their main.
Now, the reason I'm mentioning PvP here, is not because I want to bash or belittle people that don't play it. The reason is because I want to point out that usually in case of PvPers, our basic mode of thinking in terms of class builds and tactics weigh heavily towards survival as the primary and most important trait of the character/class. Hence, from the start many PvP builds/tactics emphasize on the need to survive first -- in PvP, every opponent is just as powerful as you are, and many times even more so. In order to be able to fight back you must first be prepared to be able to take the worst of what the opponent throws at you and make it through. In that sense, the current 'standard' in PvP is at least 40k HP if you want to be able to compete in the higher levels. This means you need to balance out your class build in terms of both survival and power.
...
The reason I'm saying this is partly due to fact that currently, its not uncommon to see people with something like only 22~24k HP overall, when their GS is at like 20~24k. This is what usually leaves me in a slight shock. (Especially when I see people like this in PvP, but that's a different story to tell) I distinctly remember that more than one year ago, when it was mod2, my fresh, lv60 character had 24k HP. The GS at that point IIRC was like 8k. People nowadays have over 3 times the GS I used to have then, and their HP is basically lower than the amount I had when I was 8k.... holy HAMSTER, what's going on.... in those days, around 1.5 years ago, the top-level PvP players were around 35k HP. Most recently, I built a new lv60 character about a month ago, and when this character was at lv50, it was already at 30k HP. I mention HP because it is the most direct form of survival boost a character can have in this game. This makes it painfully obvious that most people don't really think about survival needs at all ! Wow, ain't that something.
Now, it could be said that PvP builds/classes emphasize too much in HP. But I think as much, it can also be said that the current trend of PvE builds simply show too much carelessness in regards to issues of survival. Particularly speaking, people basically having the same amount of HP as one year ago, despite the overall powercreep in gear and spec, means that every PvE content released since more than a year ago, was so easy, that nobody felt the need to invest even a little bit more in survival and HP, and simply just pumped up all their extra increase in spec into damage.
As a result, a vicious cycle. Mobs aren't threatening, so just invest more and more into power/damage... and now not only mobs not threatening, but they go down easy as well, so people invest even more into power/damage almost exclusively... mobs are just steamrolled. Easy-peasy up n' easy PvE. This trend continues, the need for survival is that much more ignored and forgotten. People begin to treat it normal to be able to steamroll PvE content and bring down bosses in under 5 mins. I consider this a bad thing.
...
Since the spec of the particular CW character in the video was never disclosed, I can only guess... but seeing how it basically had no chance of surviving the alpha attack, as well as the tendency of applying CoI as the first move, the tendency to simply wade in amongst the mobs despite realizing how powerful they are, as well as not using shield, and most of all, a bit slow reaction concerning maneuvering and TP-dodging.... I can more or less attempt to guess that its a CW player with a build and combat habit that was heavily influenced by the current, easy-mode PvE content and not really used to the open possibility of receiving hectic amounts of incoming damage.
I could also wager a guess if it was a CW used to PvP, it would probably have had much more HP to be able to survive the alpha attack, use tab-shield once it became obvious how much the alpha attack can hit for, would probably have had better dodge timing, and probably would not open up with a power like Conduit of Ice.
Again, I'm not saying PvPers are better or we're superior, or right, or anything. It simply happens that with PvP builds and PvP mindset, a certain thought into defense and survival is required, and it turns out this has a more positive effect in dealing with higher threats, and what I really want to say is, well... let's face it. Having the same amount of HP as people had one and a half year ago? It just means we've all had it that much easy with PvE stuff... much too easy.
In that sense, a PvE content with higher difficulty can only result in good things -- people realizing the need for more balanced builds, leading to less investment in mega-damage, leading to less DPS all around, and more difficult content that might require more active participation and cooperation between players.
If you think about it, IWD or ToD minor HEs are categorized as 2~3 person content. Currently, it's just so damned easy. We even have people clearing solo some major content recommended for 5 people. I know I do it all the time... which really shouldn't be happening at all.
I see this as a good thing. More difficulty in PvE, dear god, yes please.
I dunno bout re-balance PVE build again but all i can say those mini polar bear is a beast now..i try to kill them solo with my archery HR and i got 2 piece epic lvl70 gear and 2 rare lvl70 gear with 69k hp. They hit me like 20-30k+ and they got like 400-500k hp(maybe more). I put in everything i got and i manage to kill 1 but the other got me due to out of stamina. If i were to use trapper build and re-balance between damage and tankiness..i say i probably could kill both of them but at really close call and the expenses lots of pots. AND thats just a pair of mini polar bear. Cant imagine if those are the greater ones.
I still dun think those mob should be so buffed up. Even the new Elemental mob is alot easier than those mob in IWD.

I haven't read all this thread, but only watching the videos:
Sorry, but this is one of the most biased feedbacks I ever saw.
A simple NPC vendor in ToD will give you level 61 blue set that will up your HP to 70k, you are running around at level 70 with level 60 gear with 30k HP and wonder why it's hard ?
I'm sure that closer look will show a stat mismatch in ArP too, that fits the content on live and not the 60% you want to have now.
There is an entire gearing path with dungeons and seals, where you get drops from dungeons and compliment with seals to get iLevel of 132 before going to IWD at all, BI gives you the option to reinforce it to 135. (levels from memory.)
Or at least get the new PvP set so we can judge a normal 70 level stats.
I do not know what is the purpose of this threads
(this is not the first nor i guess the last people post in the same spirit).
To make this game numbingly easy, boring, fitting a 5 years old, and make the few players that still here to leave?
Or just create FUD and scare people before the mod even here ?
I took my invoking leadership alt that invoked her way to level 59 with level 20 gear to Under dark caverns (or how the last leveling area called) and it died too...
Please if someone want to show an area is to difficult or to easy, be honest about your gear, show it clearly and make an effort to play with the gear you are supposed to have at that level.. hence level 70 blue/purple stuff.

Or..u can go try it urself in preview instead of doubting everyone comment. Ur skill level and mine may differ and so is the build. Best thing to clear all this up is to experience it urself...i m at 1st doubt the difficulty of what ppl claim it in forum till i actually confront those polar bear and i have to agree with them.
Ok, as a gwf decided to do some quest in each of mod zones.
Quick summary: stop crying, u dont need party for dailies, it will be just a bit slower. Probably only WoD will be a problem, especialy dungs.
Bit info, this l70 gwf is 21k gwf on live, tho on previev it has updated offhand, neck and belt to r40 (still no main hand) + r70 trickster sigil as 4th arti. This is bassicly what i will have after mod6 will hit live + next double rp. My power suck, only 13k, not even close to BiS, tho crit is around 52% without big effort (still AoW, will have assult i hope, so should be a bit more, also some stat companions if those will get update already) Also i have around 12% LS chance, need to say it saved my life couple of times, or at least saved me from eating a potion.
Now IWD, birggrins tomb, but i have also dealed with some normal adds (lured 4 giants, 4 bears etc) as long as its not a HE, we can do evrything solo, again LS surprisly saves my ***.
Ahh and i was first time of mine there, got my *** wiped on red zones, AVOID RED ZONES :P
And there is WoD, sad to say i did not had prision or den quest up, just went and cleaned some trashes (torturers quest) no problem if u know what u r doing, spots with 2 assasin drakes can be dangerous, fell a bit like in elol. Prison and cult will require now 2 players at least i think, but thats all about pain.
BTW i love my Priesstes of Sune companion. Im not even thinking about getting back to augment. ^^'
BTW1 as a destro i can get my hp doubled thanks to temporary HP.
BTW2 and feedback: We basicly still need to deal 150k dmg to get ours determination to full, its rly fast now. I like it, tho this option should be avialable to all paths. It would solve many problems.
(Sin)cerely
Kain
But u do have highly geared char my gwf is solid geared as well so he should be fine but problem is not everyone have great geared chars and how will they be able to make them when they wont be able to finsh campaings
I think they need to reduce difficulty

My post has nothing with doubting or not.
It's about showing a truthful picture, if someone shows the inappropriate gear/stats for a certain area as part of an argument about the difficulty of that area then it's not a valid proof/demonstration.
Some tried with the appropriate gear (or close) and some found it hard others not, and that's a valid discussion, but it is not the posted videos.
As I wrote earlier, If i stroll today into the last leveling zone with level 20 gear and instantly die, will it show you a good picture of that zone ?
Same as going with 20k GS into the same zone and showing you how I roflstomp everything, both are biased and do not contribute to discussion about gearing players at that zone.
And as a side note, I have an army of copies on preview, done tiamat and IWD.
I appreciate people taking the time, testing stuff and posting for everyone to see, but if someone tries to convey a point, please do it right, or it becomes just FUD (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fear,_uncertainty_and_doubt)

OP clearly is in a state of panic due to ignorance but for some reason he/she wanted to share the panic with the forum. Everyone is welcome to share opinions, even if they are completely wrong. Its in the hands of the people who have perception and knowledge of the game to stop the panic and state the truth. Enough people said the one and only thing that must be taken into account, HP. Anyone who understands plain english must stop there and get back to the game/work or w/e he was doing before reading this panic thread. New content DEMANDS HP, game gives you new armor for FREE with the necessary HP. Anyone who is going to lvl up to 70 will already have enough HP to be able to fight in the updated areas. So please no more panic.

Still im not BiS, im on lvl when im worth 2 15k casual players i guess, so maybe they will just... team up? They will be able to do as im doing right now, its only privlege of being high geared (not BiS) what allows to solo content. I see it quite fair, if i want to go on my hr or dc, i will need to team up also.

There shouldn't be any kind of "privilege" associated with higher level gear, except for having higher level gear. How about everyone who doesnt get to 20k GS until the 7th just gets banned fro mthe game? Seems that's what some people here desire.
They can make content harder not only by increasing the power of the enemies, but also lowering the power of the players. The power discrepancy between high-gear and low-gear players needs to be lowered. The new stat curves are a good step in that direction. I hope new gear won't be giving insane stats and hp though, just to beat the overpowered enemies, because then we will just be back where we are now.

FUD or not FUD..its ur choice to decide. If u claimed u played in preview and u think i m exaggerating well thats ur opinion. All i m saying is that i played with a lvl70 HR with archery spec 2 lvl70 burning executioner pvp piece and 2 rare lvl63 and 65 piece which gives me 63k HP ( sry if my info given previously is wrong as i did not remember properly the number but its around there) and the result is i died 3-4 time ( tested 10min ago). Polar bear hit me 24-28k dmg ( this is no exaggerating ) and hp is around 400k ( i remember hitting the bear for 180k and got his hp down by 50% and this was tested with aimed shot + hawkeye with longstrider shot and it was last week test with single target build) I have tested this again with RoA, fox, and CoA build just 10min ago. Never did kill them both this time though i gotten their hp less than 10%. Cant say much but i can imagine its still hard without full lvl70 BIS. Even if i got another 2 lvl70 pvp piece..my hp will still sit at 73k which is a different that does benefit much. Well u can imagine how hard it is when both bear clawed u for like 80%of ur hp in 1 swipe. Pots gives u 10k in 18sec CD. All the time u rely on dodges and fox and u cant afford to get hit more than twice. Even if i m able to pot twice it will gives me 20k hp back and if i m lucky with lifesteal and boons proc i might survive another swipe ( both bear). Now to kill them both with around 400k hp is realy and i mean REALY hard for me. Only thing i can think of to help me is to stack lifesteal..probably around 20%..my current LS is 8%. And trapper build might be easier too but still its a fight to death as well. Anyhow..the bear in IWD is a beast now.
And sry for not posting screenshot or video to prove ur FUD concept. I m not particular good with them. The last time i posted screenshot took me 1-2 hour to figure it out and my pc spec is not that great to post video. So it still up to u to think this is FUD or not. I just state what i have experienced.

The OP of the thread put videos in level 60 gear and 30k HP. I don't think I ever said anything about your post
and specifically if you exaggerate or not.
IMO, posting those videos in inappropriate gear to show it's hard is FUD.
This is like setting up a test in a specific way that it will arrive to a specific conclusion the tester would liked to.
If you say you have the appropriate gear and have trouble because of x,y, or z it's a valid feedback and I have not said anything against it (or at least didn't try to).
edit:
If I was not clear, I apologize, but all my reference to gear levels and about posts are about the original videos.

WE are lucky and play now before module 6 what about a new player what about your paladin? how you wil get the eternal armor ? how you will get the pvp armor?unless if the blue-greens from leveling as near to the eternal armor.

from what i wrote: A simple NPC vendor in ToD will give you level 61 blue set that will up your HP to 70k, ...
Level 61 gear, 70k total HP for CW. from a simple NPC vendor in TOD.
Level 70 Drops are much better and not comparable to the current gear, any green random drop is better, look at the weapon base damage for example.
And you are can to get the item level 132 sets -- the purple PvE sets before going to IWD.
You upgrade those to 135 via BI crafting

3 - about secundary mechanicals ideas, all weeks i give one. my favorite (a little impossible today) is add casting bars in some encounters of the class and str/some feats can do that casting bars more fast or give more dr during casting. seens a good whay to give "block" to sentinels, better damage to destroyers and turn the low base damages/reaping strike more interesting (i love rp).

This forum is for people who did actual testing, not for people willing to scream about how hard it is in their heads. You will adapt. Your characters have 20+ spells. You're not stuck with the same old build for the rest of the game's life. You're humans! You have a brain and you can learn new stuff. Use it!
But you tested with a class that can heal and buff itself...
I'm not arguing, honest
I still dun think those mob should be so buffed up. Even the new Elemental mob is alot easier than those mob in IWD.

WE are lucky and play now before module 6 what about a new player what about your paladin? how you wil get the eternal armor ? how you will get the pvp armor?unless if the blue-greens from leveling as near to the eternal armor.
from what i wrote:
A simple NPC vendor in ToD will give you level 61 blue set that will up your HP to 70k, ...
