as suspected level 70, not a big problem - as level 60 though another story.

    from what i wrote:

Level 61 gear, 70k total HP for CW. from a simple NPC vendor in TOD.
Level 70 Drops are much better and not comparable to the current gear, any green random drop is better, look at the weapon base damage for example.
And you are can to get the item level 132 sets -- the purple PvE sets before going to IWD.
You upgrade those to 135 via BI crafting

Yes, but you need 60 (it think it was 15 per 1 piece....but i could be wrong) Fallen Dragon Fangs to buy the set from "a simple WoD vendor" - currency that is ony attainable by doing daily quests in WoD... I rather frear that new players are still going to feel like hitting a brick wall :/

The problem with Eternal gear is you basically need Eternal Gear to get eternal gear . . .

Or you can do partial runs, farming seals, do 2/3 runs, or play the easiest dungeon, if you're unable to kill a boss without BIS gear and don't want to buy any of the campaign lvl 70 gear.

There will be lvl 70 world drops at some point. They're just not in-game currently. And questing gear is a good start too, if they follow the quest line. It's a MMO. People always find a way.

You have HV set equipped? you are trying to run lvl 70 content in a lvl 60 set that lacks the HP required that the newer sets offer or am I missing something obvious?

The 40-50k more HP a level 70 set will give you can't save you. Sure, you will be able to take some additional hits. But how are you supposed to heal them?

...with a Full Heal Stone from ZEN shop, ofc...

    /sarcasm

But the above isn't completely untrue - here the F2P / P2W gap might scissor really badly...

I was just thinking the same thing. It's seems very unfair (at least judging from the current state of the preview server).
This whole 10k pots with 100k HP thing could probably do with a separate thread alltogether, but from what I can tell now, the only way to scrape some more potion-HP without dishing out zen for health stones is to either keep an alchemy alt or get the aurora artifact for distilled pots.

    Not true.

Elemental gear is the new BiS PvE that you get from grinding out seals of the Protector in Epic Dungeons.

Eternal gear gives ~35k extra HP and is for sale from a vendor in WoD for AD, and some miscellaneous quest currency like dragon fangs.

Eternal gear is easily obtained. Elemental gear is going to be a pain to obtain.

I'd hardly call it "easily obtained" for new players who have no Dragon Fangs farmed:/

trying to dodge stuff in Well of Dragons seems impossible at times with lag i mean they make the mobs stuffer and the lags doesnt help any hope they do scale these zones down some

or even just have us scale down to the level 60 would even be better. kind of like some of the other zones that scale down. they need to add a new 70 zone witch i know they will just that they kind of rushed out this module abit to quick. dont think it was nearly ready to be released but that is imo.

I have been playing Neverwinter for about 3 or 4 weeks now. So here is my view as a new player. I leveled from 1 to 60 and enjoyed the experience the story line flowed well for the most part and the mob difficulties seemed appropriate. Leveling from 60 to 70 was a completely different experience, almost like an entirely different game. The reduced XP rewards for quests, combined with the increased difficulty of the encounters made it a very unpleasant gaming experience, so much so that I actually had to quit playing for a day or two at a time while leveling from 60 to 70 because it was not fun at all.

I pressed on because I wanted to see what the game had to offer at max level, and I am a fan of DnD. And as much as I enjoy a number of aspects of the game, and I was excited to learn there was an actual MMORPG based off of DnD I am not sure how long I will continue playing. I am going to stick it out another month or so because some of the below issues may just be that I don't know enough about the game yet, but as a new player, which an MMORPG should always take into consideration here are the reasons why I may consider finding another game despite my previous excitement over a DnD based MMORPG.

Sorry for whats coming next, I would create a whole new post for it but I am not allowed to apparently lol.

    1. Gear progression:

I now have a gear score of 1670 and tried to do multiple 1600+ gear score dungeons to work up to new gear. After about 10 dungeons with 8+ attempts in each one I have yet to complete one. We had a final boss down to less than a half a bar the last dungeon I ran and looked like it would be successful and we were all disconnected. Logged back in and we were all booted out of the dungeon. I understand I am running with PUG's and we probably don't have the optimal group setup, etc. but that seems a little ridiculous... maybe I have bad luck.

Enchantments and refining... For a new player, unless I want to sink a ton of cash into the game looks to be almost an impossibility. (which I would consider spending a fair amount if this were a perfect game) I have been farming my *** off for days and was able to get a rank 5 enchantment to rank 6.... really? The stats on those enchantments don't seem to be on scale for the level 70 content and I cant even fathom how long it would take me to get an enchantment leveled to 9 or 10... let alone max level. I cant imagine Artifacts being much more fun. All in all I feel like I am screwed on gear progression unless I get a guild that will carry me, spend tons of money on a game that is not satisfying enough to warrant that type of financial commitment, or spend the next couple of years farming.

    2. PVP

    Seriously?

I love PVP but Neverwinters PVP cant be considered anything more than just outright broke. I probably spend 80% of my encounters with enemy players stunned and unable to do anything. How is that fun? Take them out of the game completely or lower them to a half second stun to interrupt with a 90 second immunity to all stuns after. But the way it is now is complete BS... no skill involved just a bunch of classes with stun, chain stunning everyone to death.

PVP rewards? Spending 20+ minutes fighting much better equipped players and getting stun locked to death is definitely a tough pill to swallow but to end the match and see that even though we capped a few points, got some kills and contributed our time for the other team to have people to slaughter we get 0 rewards? Who the hell would want to keep doing that lol.

Matchmaking? I understand if you have limited players in PVP then matchmaking can be tough, maybe if you took the stuns out, and revamped the reward system to make the time spent playing even by the loosing team somewhat worthwhile more people would actually PVP and matchmaking would work better.

In the end PVP to me is not fun, and not worth my time
