Account Authentication Time-out Issue, 03/03 (Resolved)

You're not alone. I'm having the very same problem right now...definitely want to know whats going on...

    where did this message spring from..?

    I was just changing characters in protectors enclave. waited for the timer to count down, and it got stuff at the retrieving characters screen.

    and now I get failure to authenticate account when I try and sign in..?

    Off to try again..

    I'm getting this message right now, same issue as the other thread being posted in about not being able to log in.
    Using Arc.

    edited to add: person in my home is currently logged in and playing without issues. they haven't switched characters. They were logged in and playing before I tried.... happens when retrieving characters during login.

    I also tried using the .exe file straight from the folder not using the ARC client and still the same situation.

    Same here, managed to invoke with 3 toons, since that connection timeouts and no connection to account server.

    Yup same, doing professions and saw it flash logging out, rather than changing characters, I have notice quite a few outages over the past days since friday ... assumed it was my ISP perhaps, but this one walks like a duck and sounds like a duck so it isnt ISP (sorry for wacky humour, what else to do in threads like this ?)

    I just ran into that, too. At ca. 00h15 UTC

    Gateway: "Under maintenance, try again later"
    Game client: "account ticket failure"

    What's going on here?

    Grr ...lol...sh*t happens...getting it now too. After a long day of moving wanted to relax and kill some stuff. Gateway is showing under maintenance as well for me. Had just completed Tiamat and was checking some alts during the dragon hamster wheel race.

    It is all good...as I am sure it will be fixed soon.

    Similar issues here. My girlfriend was logged in playing no problem but I couldn't log in. When she logged out and tried to log back in she got the same error. Something is going on...

    Same issue here... Even tried through VPN to see if it was limited to some countries... Everywhere same thing...

    They probably are implementing servers with the new module... And we get penalized ^^

    yep both live and preview servers down.. also got a DX error when trying to log in a second time after running a force verify and safe mode..
    btw gateway is also down.. They are working on it i bet :)

    Unable to authenticate: Connection to the account server timed out (many friend have same problem) , account server down? have many friend with same problem, i can't enter to Nw :( .

    Sometimes stuff crashes. But at least they're aware of the problem--and have told us that they're aware of the problem.

    The login server has been unstable for quite a while, often logging me out when I try to switch characters. It looks like it finally crashed entirely. Hopefully a simple reboot gets it up and running again, rather than needing something more complicated.
