I honestly don't see why they got this skill, considering the name, the detailing, and even the current animation all point to this being a -ROGUE- skill. This encounter does not fit the class in any way at all. Fighters rely on strength, and large weapons, not subtlety and pocketed daggers. The average fighter doesn't have the ability, skill, or accuracy to even be able to throw daggers like that, let alone reach them in heavy plate armor. This encounter should be removed or changed to something more fitting to the class it is on, because right now it is simply the combination of Blitz and Whirlwind of Blades, which are -both- Trickster Rogue skills, and neither are related to a Great Weapon Fighter in any way, shape, or form.

Same way as HR now have + damage form atack behind the back. And DC chains. Even does radiant damage. With other encounters and part of crappy animation from other skills.
I do hope this is work in progress and it won't go live like this in 23 days.

Well, technically no one does. It's exceedingly difficult to do any serious damage (beyond impact) to someone with a thrown knife. You have to be immensely strong, exceedingly skilled, and have exactly the right hardware for it.
So since it's not really possible in real life, sit back and enjoy it as the powerful warrior whips out a hidden blade and throws it into their enemy before following up with a brutal charge and furious swings!
The right to command is earned through duty, the privilege of rank is service.

I had ignored this part, but lets go.
certain class can become invisible. other have thunders/fire/ice, another sold his soul to gain super powers.
excluded one or two animations that are basically a poetic license, gwf is an ordinary person who, supported only on their equipment, courage and martial skills, is able to defeat the same enemies that these monsters.
gwf = batman :rolleyes:
if some class have moral to use a diferent tool IS a fighter!
Well, GWFs have always been circus tricksters in some way. Imaginary shield that actually hurts, superman jump...I still puzzle over how can one kill somebody simply inhaling-exhaling air.
UPD No, I guess somebody I just talked to was right. It's all garlic.
Hidden Daggers - the animation is way off for a GWF. The power works quite good however, better than intimidation. Imagine the effect of hidden daggers but instead applied by a powerful swing sending a nice, wide air slash forward. Now thats a GWF animation.
Row, row, row your boat, Gently down the stream.
Merrily, merrily, merrily, merrily, Life is but a dream.

Yet GWF does not look so heroic with that encounter.

The move becomes availabe at whatwasitnow, 60+ power points expended. That's not "average fighter" which status got left behind somewhere around 10 at the latest; that's "arhat of war".
Or put this way, at that point you're bad enough an *** that you can pursue Lü Bü at Hulao Gate and not die.
(Also GWFs wear scale not plate; though as that's actually rather heavier relative to the level of protection...)

Sounds rather "animeish" but admittedly more thematically appropriate.

Busted Hah I admit it is anime inspired. But heck, they can take punishing charge and combine it with the reaping strike slash for a nice little forward dash + sword slash. Same damage , same cone, same 3 charges and it moves the GWF forward which is the direction a heavy melee fighrter should go not backwards like the step back Hidden Daggers makes you take.

Historical warriors and masters-at-arms would strongly disagree with you on that count you know; evasion and footwork are *important*.
Doesnt really apply here does it. In this game CWs step back while kiting your fighter. So said fighter needs to move forward - fast and hard. Also lets leave evasion to the guys who can actually evade. We take hits to build determination. The GWF should be this unstoppable force pushing forward, smashing thru everything... till he is backstabbed by a SE anyway haha

*shrug* There's other Encounters you can use for that. And the dash, ofc.
Conceptually the resident "linebreaker" is more the GF anyway, what with all those knockdown/knockback moves they have...
Comments
ps: you can change for a crossbow attack too... really, just me love this daggers for a gwf?
Though I really don't mind the idea of having a few hidden daggers on you. It makes since in a very practical sort of way.
hidden daggers ok
hidden orbs confirmed

WTF are they thinking???
This game should be renamed "RecyleWinter"
EVERYTHING is recycled.
SwordMaster/Iron Vanguard for GF/GWF
CW's Imprisonment having DC chains
HR's new ability having DC chains
Guardian Fighter's new ability being Punishing Charge.
GWF's having Blitz...
Seriously now, I hope these things are temporary because god dam this is ridiculous.
A GWF is a WARRIOR, he isn't a little *beep* that does "Tricks", he uses RAW POWER mudafuka. Not puny tricks.
Guardian Fighter main. I will never switch to Paladin even if we're a dying breed. GF for ever!
Main alts: Great Weapon Fighter, Control Wizard.
