I managed to acquire something that landed me about 1.2 mil AD, and I'm unsure of what to buy. I have to wait for a day to see if I got my end game weapon (dragon artefact) I have my head, chest, boots, and gloves for end game on, and I have my belt. I cant buy rings of power, so I gotta run tyranny epics till I get them and I can only get my offhand from liros, which I have 0 after over a week of fighting tiamat well over 30 times, so I dont see myself getting that. The only thing I'm not sure of is my neck.
I was wondering if I should buy my end game cloak(imperial dragon) an end game tank or dps companion(taking suggestions) or maybe something else to amplify my ability to be an awesome DC healer.
I'm using-
- draconic set
- fabled ilyianbruen icon
- random dragon weapon(I dont even use blessing of battle, and thats what it freaking gave me)
- Random Pwr, Crit, Recover amulet and ring combo
- Belt of Wisdom
- Purple shirt and pants
- All Draconic Defence, Black Ice offence
I dont have my end game artefacts yet(Hunter, Devoted, Controller) but till then I have bloodcrystal raven skull and the catalogue(no third yet, artefacts arent easy to come by for a new account)
If I could get a few suggestions of what I can do with my newly acquired wealth, I'd be much appreciated. No trolls, or 'gimme' posts, as they will be ignored anyway. Looking for serious suggestions for an end game healer based DC.

Dont get me wrong, stones are freaking awesome, but for a healer, they are relatively useless.
*I assume you do. Why would anybody choose healing path for pve? It's not like it is useful for anything.
Back to the point, yes my DPS is low, but I switch to a buff/debuff skill set when fighting tiamat or dragons, and use semi DPS when solo(basically switch bastion of health to daunting light) so I generally dont need alot of dps when I outlast most monsters anyway.
I just need to figure out something to get, and I'm heavily leanign towards my cloak since I dont really have much of a chance of getting it. I mean, Tiamat has been out what, two...three weeks? I fought her on day one, and almost every day for two weeks straight multiple times a day, usually skipping my daily dungeon and even Gauntlegrym dailies to do Tiamat, and still with over 30+ fights under my belt, both well organized teams and power zergs, I have yet to win once. So I doubt I'll ever see the cloak of my own efforts, but at the same time, I really would like a good tank comp(I got the blue guard dog) or a higher tier attack companion(got the floating butter knife) I'm just not sure whats best.
Also would really like a better icon if possible, but wont hold my breath on it. Nor on any artefacts, sinc eI'm working on an alt to 60, already got his 60 gear to give him the GS to icewindale, just gonna have to work on the boon.
There's a lot to use AD on though
Artifacts (I recommend getting stacks of rank 4 for 5-7k ad or so for 2x rp), though using it on the catalogue isn't great for stats.
RP for artifact equipment
Rank 7-8 as cost efficient power
Ideally you'd want jewelcrafting levelled which allows you to make double slotted rings after buying gemmed rings
Epic mount
Stone ( lesser bondings are good cost efficient use for pve stats)
Companion active bonuses, though maybe don't go too mad since there may be more important things to get.
Artifact off hand requires AD spent on bazaar cubes to get a high amount of stats and to reroll the passive
Good point, some of the Ioun stones should be nice a addition.
As for your wealth, be careful with it, because it can be spent in a blink of an eye. I would suggest to ignore artifact cloaks, since they're expensive, and you can grind one yourself for a mere 15 Linu's favours. It seems like a lot of work, but it is not.
Other than the Ioun stone, you should consider Rank 6/7 enchantments, as well as a Lesser Soulforged armour enchantment and at least a normal quality weapon enchantment (I'm not sure which one would suit you best, you would have to refer to a DC guide for that).
I considered getting alot of RP for stuff and waiting till the upcoming RP boosts, but I also might not get my cloak. Again, two weeks of farming tiamat and literally zero liru from my efforts. And if I do get any, I'd prolly have to buy the offhand, since I cant even buy that with AD anyway. I already got an epic mount, saved up and bought the cheesy horse 110% speed mount from zen store. Good suggestion though.
These are all excellent suggestions, and I'm thinking of getting ALOT of RP for my upcoming artefact mainhand. Gotta wait a day, see what I get, then one more day to make my own if it still doesnt come out right. Thats about the most important part of my gear, but that cloak is tempting as well.
If anyone has any suggestions for a good tank/dps companion as well, NO STONES, I'd also be appreciative. Tank needs to steal agro and stay alive(not a big deal, I went heal over time and use divine glow alot, it wont die easily anyway) and dps needs to survive a decent hit and still do dmg to bosses and stuff in dungeons.
I guess with how much of a joke PVE is today, you probably can be an endgame healer by just spamming encounters
If you run dungeons with pugs like I do, you end up rarely with anyone over 13k GS, so it actually makes it a bit of a challenge to heal since you either steal aggro, or have to time your heals to make sure you dont over use them or not use them enough.
Trust me, I've been in a team of 18k GS players in a malabogs castle. We ran through it, I had to switch to dps, and it felt more like a skirmish with three bosses than it did a dungeon. But in pugs, thats rarely the case. I'm a bit of a loner healer, dont do guild runs or anything, so I end up meeting randoms alot, and they are neither well geared nor well skilled/coordinated. So my healing ability is put to the test alot more than with a high end team.
That being said, I'm looking for, finally suggestions on a tank or dps companion, whether I should buy my cloak, or simply deal with a lesser cloak for a long time and optimize what I have on now. BTW, my cloak is a random 60 epic with power, crit and recoervy, fugitves revolt I think it is. If I do not buy an artefact cloak, that will likely be my end game cloak for a long time to come.
Hi.. i have a suggestion for a decent tank companion, the Galeb dhur is nice... and a purple companion to boot
I think you are misunderstanding the use of an augment stone, however. No one buys them primarily for their active bonus, but for the fact that all the stats you put on the stone are directly added to your gear sheet (although not your gearscore). You could get up to 3000 extra stats just from a stone. And people prefer you don't run with a dps pet in dungeons, since they tend to pull aggro from mobs you could have skipped. I always switch from an active dps/tank companion to a stone when running a dungeon.
The other thing you should look into buying are the new jewelcrafting jewelry. You still have to level Jewelcrafting to 20 to make your own personalized jewelry, but you can buy the Gemmed Hero/Archmage/Revitalization gear from the AH, so you don't need epic tools to make them. They will give you an offense and defense slot in each neck, belt and ring -- and can be put on your augment stone (if you get one) to give you even more stats.
And the owl isnt even on the AH right now, so I cant get one, otherwise I'd like it as well. It looks to be a **** good companions for me.
And I would like to start doing the jewelcrafting as well, I really would, but I dont even have 6 slots on my professions. And my highest....my only professions is leadership, which is at 12. So for the time being, thats a bit out of the question. Maybe later.
Honestly, I'm looking for something decent to buy now, that 1mil AD can afford me, that will both boost my GS and my potentcy as a healer.
Got my cloak, normally for 500k, for 400k, and the stone normally goes for 550k I nailed for 480k. I dont know, but I got some of my best end game material just now, based on your opinons on stones
lucky you, lucky me.
As for the owl, I would like one myself, actually, but the benefits of stone simply outweigh owl's awesomness.
Frankly im not sure why or how you thought not having a stone is just as a good as a healer then any other class, secondly , you might want to spin your DC as a dps toon, now that we can, and again, more power = good things.
Also, 1.2 million aint nothing in this game anymore ... thats like maybe 2.5 stacks of RP , which is ridiculous to the extreme, but there you have it.
Game has quickly dwindled down to that, as frustrating as it is.
=\
With that out there, I like to thank you all for the comments, and I look forward to seeing you in a dungeon. Who knows, maybe sometime in the future I'l get an owl and use that as dps/tank. Till then, I got my end game cloak, my end game companions (wardog, Butter Knife, allure stone) and about 250k AD to spare for some refineing when I get my astral seal mainhand artefact.
Till my next dumbass post.
The full stat transfer (including gear and runestones) from augments are just too good. The ioun stone of allure's active bonus could be much better, but there aren't that many options available at a decent price.
im sad to hear about so many tia fails, my own win % is about 72% fftw...
catalogue is fail
You do know, that it is what you SLOT your ioun stone--or cat with, not the campnaion powers or active bonus that makes stone so powerful.
If you solo a lot, you can add around 2000 power via your stone, boost your recovery--or whatever else it is you might be light on. Power doesn't have a soft cap. Its why you see DCs and CWs with 10K+ power in pve. And it never dies so you always have it.
I solo a ton and wouldnt' do it without my stone, and it helps me pull weaker groups thru PVE content, cuz I still pug and every now and then you actually do get a group that struggles. and most end game dungeons people dont want summoned companions if they are do fat runs.
Also, I farmed Tiamat for my cloak and my belt, 6th favor, and am only 14 linu away from my 7th favor. Don't buy a cloak with your AD.
Yeah, I gave up on Tiamat last week. Not going to bother until they do somthing about everything about that fight for me. I dont mind not being a healer for once, but even with full spectrum buff/debuff(forgemaster, divine glow, Doom, hallowedground) running power, crit, recover, def gear, with my current 14.5k GS, I have still yet to find a decent run and win. Came close a few times, but never a win. So there is literally no point in me ever setting foot in the well of dragons till the fix it.
And I only got the catalogue cuz at the time I was stacking hard on move and I like the shopkeeper. I'll still keep him in my bag even when I get my end game artefacts, just to have a shop for getting rid of HAMSTER.
Also, too late, I own the cloak and stone. Got like 250k AD left to boost my weapon when I get it tomorrow or before xmas.
And I dont think I'll ever get the favours, unless they make them obtainable without liru, or make liru easier to get. If not, I'lll be the one guy with 25k GS, all epic and legendary stuff, and no dragon boons. Running Mala castle and Valindra Tower for fun.
You can get linus favors by also turning in coins and dragon hoard coffers. I completely pug Tiamat, and don't usually go in at the High GS time, and I rarely ever fail. You should try running it now, failures for me have been few and far between in the past week since people have gotten used to it.
This is exactly it. If stones had no bonus what so ever it would still be the best companion you could ever buy.

Leveling up crafting and making money off the AH wouldn't be the worst idea either.
That's what I was gonna say. Find away to invest it. and make billions!

Yesss embrace the stone! It makes covering all your stats so easy. I'm a DC and I use mine to load up on armor pen, lifesteal and power which my current gear doesn't provide enough of on its own. It's the first thing i buy on a character when i have diamonds.
